Hi
I have just bought on resort and wondered what the options were for getting TV into my apartment.
What gives us the best selection of UK tv and what are the prices?
Any info welcome.

Hi, We have also just bought and were out last week to set it all up. We bought a tv from the electrical shop on camposol and they were great If you buy a tv with a built in digi box you can get loads of channels. The guys at euronics advised us and came out to set it all up. Hope this helps!

Any TV or "DVR"/"PVR" with a built in DVB-C tuner should work (many Samsung's and Sony's have this as standard but you should check). Be warned that this is not the same as DVB-T (which is like freeview in the UK and will only pick up Spanish channels in the resort) or DVB-S which is for satellite.

We bought a Sony with built-in digi from Euronics (prefer this to having an extra box and extra leads). Euronics also deliver and tune it for you.

After Bluevelvet's post, I bet Scott2371 is wondering why the hell did I buy on Condado!!!!!
However, it is a great place where the majority of people are more than happy to help each other out, and save a few euros on the way.
If you wish to save the Spanish Economy, contact Bluevelvet, as receipts from ALL work done will be to hand.

CHARMING!!! HOLA DAVELL, I COUDNT AGREE MORE WITH YOU THAT CONDADO IS A GREAT PLACE. I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT SCOTT2371 WILL NOT REGRET BUYING THERE. AS A SPANISH SEÑORITA, I DO,VERY MUCH BELIEVE IN THE IMPORTANCE OF PEOPLE HELPING EACH OTHER(that's how I grew up) AND DOING THEIR BEST IN FORMING GOOD RELATIONS WITH THEIR NEIGHBOURS. I JUST DON'T AGREE AND IT DOES UPSET ME A GREAT DEAL WHEN PEOPLE JUST LOOK FOR THEMSELVES AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO EARN A FEW EUROS. SORRY, THAT'S NOT ON. Blue velvet do you have a personal gripe with Phil tann? It seems to me that you have so I would advise that you take it up with him personally as I'm sure people are getting a bit fed up reading your personal attacks against him on this forum. I myself do not know him but he has done our tv for us. He has retuned on numerous occasions at no cost. I bought my own box over, installed it myself and he just had to fine tune it for us at no charge. By the way might I add that if a friend of mine offered me a lift to the airport and I had to give him petrol money then I can't see what is wrong in that. Taxis charging over 100euros for a return to alicante is a little bit too steep for most people, myself included. I would gladly give petrol money to a friend for a lift, as it not against the law. By the way scott2371, I would recommend phil tann too.

SHIRLEY 13, I DON'T HAVE A PERSONAL GRIPE WITH PHIL TANN BUT THANK YOU FOR THE ADVICE. IT'S NOT THE SAME GIVING MONEY FOR PETROL TO A FRIEND OR NEIGTBOUR THAT DRIVES YOU TO THE AIRPORT (i'VE DONE THAT MYSELF) THAN GIVEN MONEY TO SOMEBODY CHARGING YOU A FLAT FEE THAT COVERS THEIR PETROL AND SOME EARNINGS FOR THEMSSELVES. DO YOU LIKE WHEN ILEGAL CAP DRIVES DO THAT IN THE UK??? SALUDOS
