Just read the minutes of the last ML meeting and am concerned that they are looking at options to replace the current teleocmms with an external provider (previously they have said they are talking to Murcia Cable). Although the internet speed would increase, I believe there is a risk that we would lose most of the English TV channels we have at present as Murcia Cable would not be allowed to distribute these channels commercially. Is there anyone out there that is closer to these discussions that could put our minds at rest over this?

I am assuming the comments on the potential loss of UK/international TV are a misunderstanding. However, if they are real, we should not allow the erection of TV aerials for Spanish TV to replace the service as part of the community charge either as this will still incur both a set up and ongoing maintenance cost. If the presidents choose to stop funding international TV distribution on site then this should also apply to local TV too.

Found these by accident as well. Seems to work fine directly on our Sony TV with DVB-C tuner.

I bought these two. Interestingly though, the price seems to have gone up.....

Samsung BD-C8200 Blu-Ray Freeview HD 250GB HDD Recorder

Samsung BD-D8500 Blu-ray 3D Player with Freeview HD and PVR Upto 500GB



The 8500 has two tuners and the 8200 only has one.

Both bought via Amazon but I think one came from Richer Sounds (which was fine) and the other from "thecamerashop" and it seemed refurbished and they refunded £15 in compensation.
