Do I need the paper section of driving licence to hire car

Hi all,

I'm frantically looking for the paper section of my UK photo card driving licence and i'm not having much luck. What are the chances of being asked for this by the hire company when picking my hire car up????

I have never been asked for the paper copy & have used a variety of rental companies over the years.

 Me neither, they don't have a paper section to the Spanish licence

That's pretty much what my Dad said (its his place on condado) but always that worry in the back of them mind though eh?.
