Apartments broken into

 Here's the info I got from Resortalia...

Dear Owner of Terrazas de la Torre,

The reason of this communications is to inform you of what happened last night at the Resort Terrazas de la Torre where you have a property.

Between 5.30 and 6.00 in the morning, the security people detected that at least two people had accessed the complex through the fence in front of Block 268 & 269 in Phase 2, in order to break into several apartments with unlawful intentions. So far, the security company has confirmed the burglaries in 8 apartments, and the owners of these ones are being informed in order to manage this issue in the most appropriate and quicker way. The security team is reviewing all the buildings around the Resort in order to detect possible damages.

Please find attached a leaflet with some security recommendations regarding your property and building. Please take a few minutes to read it, and contact with your key holder or correspondent supplier in the event you would like to take any of the suggested security measures.

Please take into account that it is only an informative email as all the affected owners have been contacted personally.

Can I please make a suggestion that you should ask the moderator to remove this thread as it is never advisable to discuss security matters on what is a PUBLIC forum

There are all types of people that will read this information and the last thing that you should be doing is making it public and you would be far better talking to Justin the owner of the forum about creating a private owners only area

This is a BIG problem in the area and you are not the only resort that has been hit by this type of crime but there are some common sense measures that you can take to protect your properties and I have actually published a security artice on this website which include additional locks, lighting and even alarms but anybody needs amore advice please PM

I also know that the security here is very dilligent but these tyoe of people are desperate to make money and normally all they steal are TV's and safes if they are locked. You should take the serial numbers and even hide the TV in another room, under a bed perhaps because if they look in and do't see a TV they often go elsewhere

I visit this site reguarly and can provide a fully managed service for property management and we are basing a member of my company on this site plus a free website the same as the www.condadoproperties.com to promote rentals

Then you advise people to hide the TVS under the bed. So if any bad guys are reading this PUBLIC forum like you say ,they will look through the window see no telly, and then they will think the TV is under the bed. this is not good advise to put on a public forum. Also for people who are looking for a key holder, get one who lives on the resort or lives on la torre, because they will be passing your property a lot more than a key holder who may live miles away.

The actual problem publishing the information on a public area is not so much about your average burgular reading the information but nore your potential customers, the renters who actually do read the forums

Yes I absolutely agree with you about having a property manager that lives or have an office onsite and this is why my service on Corvera has done so well. You get  to know the security people, the cars  and who is around and i must drive around Corvera at keast 10 times a day, plus you can offer a true 24 hour service

 Because of requests form customers on Terrazes which I dod their snagging I am about extend my services to cover this site, with a member of staff, living on Terrazes and a dedicated rental site, the same as the Corvera Holidays site, because it is generated good long term and holiday rentals for customers
