Gas BBQ

When over in march we are loking to get a BBQ ready for the summer.

Does anyone have a gas BBQ on CDA,  if so have you had any issues with the heat. 

or is buying a coal BBQ the safest way to go

I have used gas bbq for the last 2 summers and have no problem with the heat

We have a gas BBQ and it is used bascially everyday in the summer (and at easter etc).  Couldn't do without out.  In summer having the oven on in the apartment is like throwing more water on while in the sauna...well for us non-residents anyway.

I'm assuming you are talking about leaving the gas bottle out in the heat?  We have ours under the stairs as we have a 3 bed downstairs apartment so its out of the sun.

we have a penthouse so dont have anywhere other than inside or outside to leave it.  we dont want to leave it inside either.

If you are on the top floor penthouses there is a special area set in the wall for BBQ's and the gas bottle will go underneath. If on the other floors there should be no problem with the heat - these gas botles are designed to withstand much higher temperatures than sun can create.

If you want a suggestion for a neat BBQ - get one in the UK and try a CADAC SAFARI CHEF. Small enough to bring as hand luggage as it comes in a bag but is still big enough for feeding four people. Also excellent for use on the beach.  Tremendous piece of quality kit and costs around £75 at any good camping retailer like 'Go Outdoors'
