anyone been out recently

last time i was out in January things were very quite. It did look as though the big villas on phase1 were being completed, however the building on phase 3 at the front had come to a standstill. Anyone know the reason why?

going out this monday, talking to someone on the site the other day and was told that the builders have run out of money. Will find out whilst out there and let you know.

Just returned from 10 days out there. Little work  on phase 1 and 2, mostly finishing jobs, putting the yellow plaster on the walls, gravel round the 5 large houses, sorting out the footpaths. more work needed doing on the 2 large houses at the end of phase 1. Wish they would sort out the ground work round the second pool on phase 1 , its looks like a wilderness at the moment.  rumour control tells me that they have been told to get phase 1 and 2 finished by may ( never said which may!!). could not see any work on phase 3. Looking at the leader paper  for this week 20/3/2007, page 5, we are not the only ones having problems. residents from tecnologia site at  puerto real, el galan are still on builders electric after 6 yrs and tecnologia had not paid the electric bill so they kept getting cut off, so several of the residents marched up to their offices with a reporter . when checking the electric supply it was found that tecnologia had attempted to wire the electric without going through the circuit boards at all. We are also told that there are many people still waiting for the deeds to their house and a court case is pending. Still look on the bright side, at least most of us on phase 1nad 2 have our houses. There are 40 new houses built to the sea side of phase 1 by another builder and  talking to someone who has one, they have been waiting 5 yrs and still not finished

Does anybody know if the apartments block 5 (2 storey) phase 1  have been completed yet? We paid 50% in Jan 04 suposed to be ready in Feb 05, in Sept 05 we instructed our solicitor to cancel the contract under clause 3, which states if the apartment is not ready 6 months after completion date. we are entittled to all our money back. Still have not got it,  now on our 2nd solicitors who are reluctant to go to court, because contract is not the original. Did anybody on La Zenia Collinas Phase 1 ever get their money back? Are Tecnologia going bust or are they just crooks? Is anybody happy with what they've got at Collinas? 

just came back a few days ago. I think the ones your are talking about must be complete, well almost, as some had people living in them. Word on the grapevine is that the builders have gone bust and another firm is taking them over. good luck about attempting to get your money back, we looked at it and was told it could take up to 5 years. I have yet to hear anyone say anything good about the builders.

I  am also trying to get my deposit back and have heard the  rumours about the builders going bust.  Has anyone been successful in getting their deposit returned.  I am reluctant to go ahead with the purchase as I now believe in the current market the houses are overpriced.  Our property is on phase3 and looks lik e it will never be finished. I have a solicitor working on the case but to be honest progress is really slow.

Hello everyone

We have just returned from a two week break ito our house on phase 1. We were very fortunate having had to wait only 6 months for completion, we signed over in Dec' 05. We have been over several times and absolutely love the house and its location. I feel very sorry for those of you awaiting completion. There are only a few working on phases 1&2, mainly doing remedial or finishing work. Most of the properties appear to be complete on phases 1&2 with the exception of the large detached houses, which appear to be nearing completion. There was no work taking place on the houses on phase 3, they are still at the concrete skeletal state as 2 months ago, our neighbours who live there permenantly say nothing has been done on them since the end of last year. A few workers were seen to be working on the flats on phase 3. There are many unsettling rumours about the builders re being taken over or having gone bust, and it may be appropriate for you who are still in limbo to instruct your solicitors to earn their fees and to establish whether there is any foundation to these stories. One of the strongest rumours is that they have had to sell off some land and whilst we were there strong substantial fencing was set up enclosing phase 4 (the area adjacent to the park all the way down in the direction of Lidl supermarket,) and the whole area of where phases 5 & 6 were to have been built.

We are still face with having to look out onto what was originally builders rubble but what now has turned into a general rubbish tip.

Unfortunately we won't be out again until August, but if I hear anything from my neighbours I will update you.

Thanks for the update Sunman.  I am really glad you enjoyed your break.  Hopefully if the builders have sold some land, the remaining phases will get finished.

We have not been on the message boards for quite some time, we had hoped things on phase one would have improved, but on reading some of the letters all is still not well.  We have had some really bad damage to our property because of  shoddy workmanship.  A drainpipe was not fitted properly, it came away from the wall in  very bad rainstorms and caused the walls in the dining area and back bedroom to become saturated inside.  When we arrived in December last year all the walls were covered in a black fungus as were the beds all the bedding, curtains, wardrobe and bedside cabinet.  It was heartbreaking after leaving it looking so lovely with all the new bedding etc.  To get the builder to do the repairs has been a nightmare, we have spent a fortune on telephone calls from England, e-mails and faxes to numerous to mention, all have been ignored completely.  We have asked for compensation from the customer DON'T care service dept.  who have passed it on to another dept. they say. the manager of that dept. is in hospital, they say.  It's obvious to us that nothing will be done but  we are going to be a thorn in their side for a long time to come.  That is if they are still in business, which seems to be in  doubt reading some of the messages.  As you say it is a really nice area, and we just hope things will get better in the short term, the pool area will be completed and the burglaries cease.  

Just returned from 10 days in our house on phase 1, No 30. we have the same problem with the down pipe from the roof and mould on the walls in the back bedroom and lounge. Problem seems to be that the pipe was not connected into the top of the wall near the roof, so when it rains, the water goes down inside the brickwork instead of the down pipe.  BUT we did do to the office to be told that the person who deals with these problems would not be in the office until monday and a message would be left. Well the following day, we found that there are 2 men on phase 1 doing snags.  ferando and a young lad, who speaks a bit of english. They spent the morning on our roof fixing the problem, loads of red seal placed between the roof and the pipe. Problem is that it has not rained since, so dont know if it has fixed the problem.  They say that the walls will dry out  and the mould will wash off using hot water with fairy liquid . Will be out there again next month, so will see what happens. We also had a couple of small holes in the kitchen ceiling, could be caused by a leak from one of the waste pipes in the bathroom. Fernado patched up the holes but said that we had to go to the office to ask for the ceiling to be painted again. Was told that someone would call on wednesday to do this but never did. The ceiling in that light yellow colour, does anyone know the shade colour and were we can buy some from as it seems that we will finish up doing it.  Funny thing is, is that they never looked at what was causing the problem. They might have performed some magic on it and fixed it.  Also found that the high weeds  around the second pool had been taken up and the rain water removed from the pool, so things may be looking up or pigs might fly.  By the way, I would like to paint  my balstrads, or what ever you call them, those white posts on the walls. does anyone know what the white gloss paint is called , the price and the best to get it from. Thats all for now
