Talking for myself which might be selfish coming from a very stress full place Corvera golf and country club has become my great escape, we don't want the type of resort like Polaris or la mAnga, we are looking for quality and tranquility, if you agree with this let this be heard Regards Spurs

Roll on Feb, April and July-August. Just wish it was Jan-Dec but have to wait another dozen years or more for that!

Cant wait to return to our Villa in Corvera in February. Peace,Quiet, Walking, Golfing, Cycling and horseriding and yes we do all of these things and enjoy it too!!  We feel confident the rest will come eventually in the meantime we are just enjoying what we have and getting to know the area and watching it grow. I would strongly advise anyone who is contemplating purshasing on Corvera to come and try a visit for themselves and make their own mind up.

Home from Corvera having spent eight weeks there.I am here in Ireland with heavy snow falling and housebound. I really miss the warm sunny days and my trips into Kema 2 for delicious wine and an even more delicious coffee. We were in Murcia City just before we left the streets near the Cathedral were decorated with green and red carpet it had a lovely Christmas atmosphere. The city is well worth a visit for christmas shopping with Menu del Dia for just 10.50euro, and it is great to take the bus from Corvera for less than 2euro and always on time.I would like to thank Chris Dean for all his help while we were there and its nice to have someone  onsite and accessable, and also a big thank you to Migel whose help was invaulable for those spanish phone calls. We are in Menta and there was a buzz about the place this time compared to our last visit when a lot of work was still going on., and the shrubs have grown well some of the shrubs need to be replaced but apart from that the Menta area looks fantastic with the gardeners working  keeping it looking so well. The golf course is looking a little tired with the lack of rain. on the posittive the course is watered twice daily.I am looking forward to my next visit.

Have my first golf trip planned for end Jan - Luton to Alicante - with some friends. Play Corvera on day of arrival.  Next day playing Las Colinas de Camponaour for 39 euro (incls buggy) and Roda on next day for 43 euro (incls buggy). Given that Corvera is still free, it will be a very cheap trip.

Now have my bikes, roller blades, tennis racquets out there.  The only problem is finding the time to use them all.

Kenny

We are spending our Christmas at Corvera and we are delighted.

The course is in great condition with lots of greenkeepers working hard, replanting shrubs and trees. Its great to see how things go on, and for sure all will look great next Spring. I have seen many furnishing companies around working on the last completed houses. Good news too. No news on the Club Hose yet, but, this is my opinion, I think people in the company seem to be more optimistic and I hope  well see or hear good news soon.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

Its up to about 16 degrees now at 11.50, what a gorgeous day. A bottle of Rioja with lunch (1.69e from Mercadona). Bliss. Happy New Year to all.

Great post Paul Mark my son has just called to say that he is playing golf on the course and it is reasonably busy

I am off to the harbour at Guardamar port for a spot of menu del dia with friends and yes 17 degrees here and sunny

Also the sales start properly on Friday so I am sure that I will get dragged out shopping

Just returned from corvera.........

First time in our vllla .......... fully furnished by MOIRA MCGEE (met Moira Once in November - spent half a day with her, chosing all the furnishings/furniture/fittings/lightings and all accessories ETC ETC ETC  - never looked back) and six week later (plus quite a few thousand Euros saved on Corvera furnishing pack) - our family walked into a fully furnished and functional property (all elecrtrical/heating/appliances etc etc checked & fully tested by Moira's engineer) - Thanks Moira - had a great time.

Played golf - several rounds - met some LOVELY LOVELY people and looking forward to meet them again and again.....tapas at Kema 2 with few drinks - very welcoming - supermarket in Corvera town/ even the chemist are excellent and can't do enough for you -  had a  GREAT BBQ at Miguels on new years eve - excllent evening - everything excellent........

Visited the new airport site - just 5 minutes away from the resort.................am I being OVER enthusiatic?????????

It's a shame that economic stress has prevented a few to go ahead with their plans - I WISH YOU THE VERY BEST FOR 2011 and beyond..

Happy new yera to everyone...............................absolutely looking forward to visit Corvera in 4 weeks time and every four weeks there after ................

Just wondered if there are any completers who do not play golf, like us? We are happy enough with our purchase and the resort but not as happy as those who get free golf I suspect!

Hi all, The Spanish press are reporting today that agreement has been reached for the developers of the Paramount Theme Park to buy a parcel of land near Alhama de Murcia which is just a few miles from Corvera Golf & Country Club. If the development goes ahead this is very positive news for all owners at Corvera !
