Just got back from Corvera after staying a few days. There's still lots of rabbits about and I have never seen them before.

I didn't play the course as I'm not a golfer but visually (comparing it with other golf courses I have seen in the area) the course looks like it needs an awful lot of work.

The gardens were in better condition than I expected having read some comments on this forum.

Security at gate seems to be a bit better. At least the security guards are taking registration numbers.

Only had a quick look at Clubhouse but looks like there's a fair bit of work needed to finish it.

Hi all, just back from Corvera after short stay. Checked apartment thoroughly after our best summer of rentals so far and I wanted to say how pleased we are with the services provided by Roy and Lorraine (www.corveraservices.com/). Our renters have also left comments stating how well Roy supported them during their stay. These are some of the comments:

"Roy was an absolute star and helped us on many occasion"

"Thanks to Roy for the guide, it was our travel bible. Very useful."

Roy always gets the apartment ready for our arrival and meets us soon after arrival. He always tries to get contractors to carry out any work whilst we are there so we can pay them direct and see their work first hand eg. lock changing. He is always available when you need him and nothing is too much trouble. Roy always lets us know when guests have left and that everything is OK.

Roy's knowledge of the area is second to none and the guide he has put together for guests (and us!) is brilliant (www.ourpropertyguide.com/). Everything about Corvera Services is highly profesional and top notch. I have experience of two other keyholders, one in Murcia and one in Almeria and the services provided by Corvera Services beats these hands down.

Mustn't forget Lorraine! She does a fantastic job with the linen (and my wife is very fussy!). No launderettes here!

All in all Roy and Lorraine go over and beyond what we would expect and we could not recommend them highly enough.

I'm afraid Steve it's all about supply and demand. The supply fars exceeds the demand so that drives the rental prices down. We have been renting our apartment now for the third year and in our experience there is very little demand from British/Irish. Therefore we have marketed to other Europeans especially Spanish who are not prepared to pay as much.

The Estate Agent said we could get 700 euros per week for a 2 bed apartment at Porto Fino during peak periods but at the moment that's just wishful thinking. It may happen eventually but in the meantime you can only get what the market is prepared to pay (whether you think it is worth more or not).

It is hard work renting the apartment to holiday makers but if you do rent it successfully you start building testimonials and repeat business/recommendations which should pay dividends when things pick up.
