IMPORTANT INSURANCE INFORMATION

As part of the cost cutting of the Budget the Administrator and the Presidents changed the Community Insurance Policy and a Better deal was obtained.

The new Insurance company (well known) has provided a policy for the Community which also covers ALL BUILDINGS

Therefor when you renew your Insurance policy you only need CONTENTS INSURANCE (Buildings covered under Community Policy)

Nicky (Mileniun-Levante) in the Administration office at the Al Kasar will give you a quote (Same company as Community) for the contents only 60-90€ but depends on Policy and property.

A percentage of the commision also goes in to the community fund.

So you can make a significant saving and put money in to community at the same time.

Very interesting info and hopefully good news, however can we obtained a copy of the master police as people with mortgages would probably have to show this to their lender to obtain approval from them that they accept the stranded of cover provided.

I am trying to get hold of a copy of the Insurance Policy and will forward on this post if I am successful.  I would imagine that it's standard perils only rather than accidental damage, but we shall see!!

I've emailed Nicky twice looking for information regarding this as our insurance is up soon, I've had no reply on both occasions.  Have you a contact number for her? Have you yourself took out only contents insurance?

yes i have taken out insurance with the new company and got a very good quote for contents only, am not sure if it covers outside items on roof or garden (Forgot to ask) also if you have a Mortgage you may have to prove the buildings are covered (Some morgage companies may insist you use their insurance)

Note Most companies will not give you Contents only?

Nica is very busy Insurance is just a side job her main role is dealing with incidents and as you can imagine she is very busy sorting damage caused by recent rains?
