Ross Legal Services

Hello there

I have been led to believe that a number of purchasers on this development used Ross Legal Services.  We are currently with Gonzalo Ros and looking to obtain our deposit back on another development in the area.  We are about to go to court but have now been contacted by another solicitor who posts regularly on EOS and her legal advice is very different.  We are now in a quandary about how to proceed and whose advice to trust.  (Gonzalo Ros is our second solicitor having already wasted couple of years and a lot of money on some previous duff legal representation - we simply can't afford to get it worng again)

Any experiences that anyone would be willing to share with us would be welcome.  We would be particularly keen to hear if anyone has had any success in getting money back!

I've used MJ Asesores in Aguilas. The principal there is Jose Manuel Jodar. Very capable and for us trustworthy. He arranged a very satisfactory outcome for us with Peinsa. Not our money back which we didn't want but a sensible solution with a completed property that we're delighted with.

Reading the last few posts I think you are missing what what these people want, they all just want there money back. I think they must have all made a mistake & paid a deposit thinking they would all get the perfect home without any hassle (Spain). They dont want there house any more they want there money back, I dont know why they dont just try and get double there money back god knows they deserve it. This is where there dream turns sour the house is ready and they dont want it, ok like us we have waited years there house is ready take it. Sean you are wasting your time giving them advice.

I think EOS was set up to help everyone & it must be realised that people have to pull out for lots of reasons illhealth bereavement  lack of funds due to the exchange rate being just three.

If we can help each other with advice surely that is a good thing & shouldn't be stifled.

Just to add my two peneth.....

Stella & I went through a bit of a nightmare as did, I suspect everyone who bought on CDP, as you say..Spain!! We used Ross Legal, Dani helped us through, sometimes a bit slow responding but he always did, respond that is! We changed property, considererd getting our money back, everything....We have now completed, Dani & Lorena were really great and it was probaly the best decision for us, we just love the place.

I just hope it all gets tidied up for the summer when it is I`m sure we`ll sit on the roof having a few beers, looking at the mountains wondering why we ever considererd pulling out...nobody has a crystal ball but to me San Juan has it all and seems to be developing exactly the way we had hoped.....albiet a bit slowly!!

Hi all

We too instructed our solicitors in 2008 to retrieve our deposit.  We were informed our property will never be completed as there are more properties being built on the land than originally agreed.  We were offered another property however this was only half the sq. footage of the original one but the price was the same.  They tried to tell us it was the same size, this is when we lost interest!  It is still ongoing and we have not even had a court date yet.  It is a large deposit which represents all of our savings, we are having to continually find more money to keep paying our solicitors.  If anyone has any advise we would be very grateful?
