Just back from a week in San Juan - the place was fairly quiet with Aquarius closed down, La Venta and La Luz closed for holidays. The weather was great, no rain during the stay.
We noticed the kiosk by the beach, passed Pepa's was now regularly selling English papers - good for those who wish to keep in touch with activity back home!
More people are now completing on the houses and the builders are working on the later phases. Most of the houses on the last phase facing the centre are painted/being painted. Most of the work is being done on Phases 5-7 at present.
The pool was closed on our phase (phase 2) on the 15th September, until next summer.
The site is looking good and has always with each visit, we don't regret completing on our house.
One disappointment however, having booked our flights for Feb hoping to visit the Carnival in Aguilas we have found out the dates are not as some have previously suggested - the dates this year for anyone interested in visiting are the 11-16th Feb and 20th Feb. Definately worth a visit if you have not previously been.
Also a warning - there have been several houses broken into, not only on the site but San Juan in general. Important therefore to ensure the front door of the house is always locked, rather than just closed - they do appear to be targeting houses which are occupied looking for an instant win i.e. cash etc.
