Hi All,

Just arrived back in gloomy Dublin after spending 5 great weeks in DV.Really enjoyed meeting all our neighbours both new and existing and other block colleagues.

One of the reasons for our new thread is due to an irritating problem we have had consistently with our air conditioning and also our heating system ( not that we needed the heating this time but will do when we visit in Dec).

Not to bore everyone but last yr we had an issue and Maguy sent up the installation company to fix it.As far as we know they pumped in some gas and that was it.We were there for another 10 days and all seemed ok.We let out the Apartment to Friends in April and the heating did not work for them. When we returned in May of 09 for a week neither the heating or A/C worked.Unfortunately we did not have the time to get something done at this point.

For our July visit it again did not work.Unsure as to who is actually responsible in helping us with this We have naively gone on a solo run and had 2 separate so called technicians who came and just pumped more gas in but actually sorted out nothing as it broke again within 4 to 6 days.!!!!!!

Unfortunately one of these was a British guy who really ripped us off charging us 220 euro which included  a €70 call out charge along with a €40 an hour charge. We ended up paying out €340 between the 2 technicians and its still remains broken.

The control panel seems to have a mind of its own (cool light and fan light flashing but fan in bathroom still running) and one of our neighbours had the same issue and it turned out to be a fuse box issue which was resolved easily by maintenance.

What we really would like to know is 1) Has anyone had  similar problems and 2)If so can you point us on the right direction as  to who we need to be talking to in order to help us resolve this.

Marc

Hi

I had a problem whereby the green light would flash and the aircon wouldnt work.  What I found was that a simple turn it off and turn it on again usually worked.  I'm sure you ahve tried that but what was also intersting was that if you had the temperature set, too high or too low then this was more likely to happen.  ie.  setting it at 19 degrees when the room was at 28 degrees almost inevitably meant that that the light would flash but stting it at 22 or 23 first fixed it and then I could take it down to 19 later.

Apart from that it has always been fine and warms and chills brilliantly.  I recently had it servicedand refilled  through LMK management, my maangement company, and its even better now. It cost about 70 euros I think.  No flashing lights and seems to chill even quicker and quieter.   I know, I shouldnt have said that as its bound to play up now !!!!

a flashing light is an indication that gas is needed in the system
