Help needed at the local dog refuge

Could anyone come to the refuge with me tomorrow to help even if its a one off? Leaving 9.45am, I have space for 4 more!

I have rspca xmas cards sealed (packs of 10) for sale where all proceeds will be going to the refuge. Only 10 packs left if you are interested! 3.50 euros!!!

I have a beautiful little girl in my garden at the mo waiting to be picked up by the refuge. Shes been good as gold. If anyone would like to make a small donation to help have her vaccinated etc would be much appreciated. Ive had a some really nice donations lately and as the refuge currently is swamped with 350 dogs any little bit would help towards food, water etc.

There are so many good reasons to get these dogs of the roads. Just the other day we nearly had a serious accident when a dog ran out in front of us . Many of these dogs are just pregnant most of the time, they die on the roads or they bite if approached and frightened. The list can go on!!!

I will always get a receipt if required!!

Ive just checked and yes there is a msge there altho i never remember recieving it or seeing it. sorry about that!

That would be great to get some new toys and if anyone comes across any cheap but good collars and leads that would also be great. I think they are cheaper in the UK. They are all breaking and snapping at the refuge where they are so old. Or of course any leads that people dont use anymore.

The walkers are thin on the ground at the mo and this morning another load of dogs in including two more beautiful greyhounds. If anyone finds any cheap or second hand greyhound coats that would be great in preperation for winter to stop them getting ill.

Loads of puppies if anyone is looking to adopt. Ive never seen so many dogs, anymore helpers??????

How about getting a local newspaper involved I'm sure other ex pats and locals might get involved once they know how badly help is needed, just a suggestion, if you can think of any way we can help over here let us know, I 'm in the process of getting some of the items you need to bring over.

Just to remind anyone who is having a clear out before xmas to chunck your bits and bobs this way for the refuge car boots.

If anyone is moving over on phase 2 ad is thinking of getting a dog please let me take you to the reuge where you can see over 200 dogs, many are house trained and were only dumped because families returning to the UK.

Doing another collection for a car boot to raise money for the refuge. Current;y we are trying to raise money to make more kennals as the dogs are coming in thick and fast. Any junk will be appraciated and will give you some space before xmas!!!!!

If anyone comes across a litttle beige dog (bitch) she is very friendly and trusting, Could you please bring her to me. She is a little dog i picked up and got to the refuge but has escaped and someone said they saw her around here!!!

Found the little beige dog, its the 3rd time shes escaped and the 3rd time ive found her. She is one clever little lady!!!!! I think someone is trying to tell me to keep her!!

Tinasolera, I was saddened, not to mention angered, to learn from your post of 6th October, that many dogs find themselves in your refuge because their so-called guardians have returned to the UK!  I thought that Brits have always been regarded as a dog/animal-loving nation!

You and your fellow dog-lovers are to be commended for all the wonderful work you are doing to help those who are so often the victims of man's folly!

There has been cases of dogs left in boarded up villas, left on the road and even tied to refuge gates with notes on saying "my owners have to return to the UK please look after me".

As much as it would be great to see dogs adopted by newcomers to the village, it must be well thought through. The more times  these dogs are abandoned, the more they are damaged and the less likely they will be fit for rehoming. We were once thought of as a nation who loved our animals but I think that reputation is slowly dying. Then of course we are up against the spanish who have a reputation for dumping dogs before they go on summer holidays only to replace them with a new dog when they come back. Of course I am not speaking for all the spanish or all the english. Many spanish spanish treat their animals like a full member of the family as do many responsible english!!!

Anyone interested in donating some dry dog treats to the refuge for the doggies for xmas? There are some very big dogs who would love a munch on pigs ears which you can buy in Iceland or any kind of treat would be much apreciated by the dogs this chrimbo......... come on get into yr charity xmas spirit!!  

If anyone passes with some, dont throw over gate as they will be gone in about 3 seconds by a very cute dog waiting the other side.

I will be taking the treats to the refuge Wed so still time if someone wants to donate a pigs ear or a chew stick. A big thanks for all the donations so far, have a large selection including a large donation of 16 juicy jamon bones for the big dogs.

If anyone wants to leave anything they can pop it in the stairwell if im not in... not in the garden! Cheers and Feliz Navidad!

Thankyou for getting the bones for the dogs for me, hope they went down well, I have credited the money I owed you for them to your Bank over here, check you have recieved it, its a lot easier for me to send money for the sanctuary via you from a Bank account you have in England, As you know  I was going to donate monthly to the Sanctuary, I think the best way is to just send it via you its easier for me, and you can give it directly to yvonne, I will start this end of January, hope you had a nice Christmas and New Year, I have sent on the copy of the letter you printed the other day to my brother to pass on to the Animal Welfare in British Columbia, as they are getting involved with the issue.

Somone mentioned wether it would be a good idea to send letters directly from Spain to the Embassey in England,  the other day sounds good to me, don't you think, have you heard anymore from greyhound rescue recently, I keep e.mailing them, when I get o hear anything they may be able to help us with, so sorry to hear  about that poor abandoned dog from  the factory at the bottom of the lane where you walk the dogs, I was worried sbout that dog when I was there, how is it now

keep up the good work, let me know if there is anything you want me to do this end.
