Hi everyone

This is for anyone who has completed at ME23, could you please post something here on how you are progressing with furniture deliveries and whether utilities have been connected yet to your apartment.

Has anybody been over to the development recently and can report on the current state of occupation ie has anyone moved in yet!

Also just a reminder that a forum site specifically for ME23 has been set up and it would be useful if all ME23 owners matters were posted there rather than on the generic Medina golf forum. Make sure you add it to "My Community forums"

Regards

Stephen

We visited the site in mid June, our furniture pack had arrived and all looks good quality.  Some of the apartments had been fully prepared and had people staying in them for a couple of nights to do some onsite snagging.  Large site traffic all gone from Fairways, though there is work still going on inside and small vans parked up, the roads are now clear right up to the entrance for ME23.  Water and electricity connected, just waiting for the gas although we are led to believe this is in hand.  The biggest sticking point seems to be installation of air conditioning, we are told negotiations are ongoing.  There were other owners on site when we visited, and the pool and grounds were all looking good.  We were able to have a look around the Golf Club which is due to open fully in August.

We were told that a newsletter for owners was in preparation, however our visit was mid June and we haven't seen anything of this yet!  Also that there was the possibility of a large booking for rentals in August - but nothing could be confirmed until all utilities in place.  I will try to upload some photos on here.  It felt like our most productive visit for some time and we are hoping the end is in sight.

If anyone is visiting we can recommend a small country hotel about 45 mins drive from ME23, just off the Antequera - Granada road.  Good value £35 pn through expedia, and we found it less hassle than parking in Granada.  We were able to park easily in Granada for a short time to visit the bank and have lunch.

In response to Hosilverlinings post yesterday, has anyone reading, who is a purchaser in Phase 2 at ME23, had the gas connected to their apartment yet or made arrangements for aircon installation. Has anyone actually stayed in ME23 yet?

VRawlinsons post on the Medina Golf forum yesterday made mention that the ME23 community was up and running and that Gaspar Lino was interim President, has anyone been advised of this by Peninsula or had any information from them about the development recently?

Waiting to hear from you!!

no sign of newletter, or gas connection as yet.  Friends were out there a couple of weeks ago and basically had the same info as we were given in June, the only new news was that a further meeting re the aircon was being arranged.  I managed to upload some photos both of the site and inside our apartment - couldn't be happier with the furnishings etc but the delays in getting the site up and running for rentals just go on and on.  We don't expect much to happen now before September given that nothing much happens in Spain in August.

No information about the community either so we will continue to chase.

THIS MESSAGE IS POSTED HERE AS A RESPONSE TO A POSTING ON THE MEDINA GOLF FORUM- SJH

 Hi Netti

It is obviously very concerning that you are having to make your first posting to this forum because of your concerns over the development. I can only advise that as an existing owner at ME23, who with others is very concerned with the lack of progress on either of the rental options and the poor communication from Royal Peninsula, that to any potential owners on Fairways, Tee 17 and Golf DO NOT COMPLETE UNTIL THE PROBLEMS ARE RESOLVED, you have only your deposits to lose, we are losing thousands on mortgage repayments with no prospect of an income. i cannot put it any clearer!!

I fully appreciate that market conditions have changed enormously in the last 18 months and may be creating huge problems for the developer but total silence to existing and potential purchasers is very alarming , communication and honesty in what is happening is the best way to try and get everone to pull together.

I am aware of people that for three weeks have been telling me that they are attempting to go to their apartment this bank holiday weekend but have had no confirmation and are travelling on Sunday with no certainty that they can gain access to their apartment, this is appalling. I have been requesting RP since 7 June about connection of gas to our apartment and that I want to visit from 7 September, both with no reply.

I will be in Granada now from the 9th September( probably staying in a hotel) if any one has anything they would like answering about their apartment or development I will do my best to check it out. Please pm me.

I will also be trying to source an alternative property management company so we can try and get private rentals moving without RP, again if anyone is interested in pursuing this this please pm me.

Wouldn’t it be better if your holiday home paid you?
The ideal second home is surely one which you can
enjoy while you are there and makes you money when you are not!

At our Medina Elvira Golf and Resort project in Granada, you can have the best of both worlds with a choice of beautiful properties built in a spectacular location and benefiting from some of the best facilities available anywhere in Spain, together with a flexible program of guaranteed rental options which will make you money from your home when you are not using it.

While you are there, enjoy:

Five-star facilities including the country club, bars and restaurants on site, direct access to the beautiful 18 hole golf course, a driving range, a concierge service, swimming pools. jacuzzi decks, the history and culture of Granada, the spectacular lake and breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada. This is in addition, of course, to the superb build quality, 24 hour security and easy access routes by road and air.

When you are not there, make money:

Take advantage of the 2, 3, 5 or 10 year renewable guaranteed rental programmes we have set up, underwritten by one of Spains leading Insurance companies, and in association with some of the worlds leading tour operators. This is a REAL guarantee, not just a vague promise of income, as is offered by some other developers! You can choose from schemes which allow limited access to your property or a more flexible approach. Yields can be between 5% and 15% of purchase price per year depending on your chosen program.

FAIR ENOUGH ITHOUGHT, I'LL HAVE SOME OF THAT PLEASE.

Hello all,

Has there been any movement since the below posts? Has anyone stayed or let the Medina 23 apartments yet? Are RP onsite now and fully operational?

Has anyone been to the new Golf Club?

Any update would be useful - thanks a lot

Jonny
