why is there so many properties for sale on LT

We are selling this apartment as we originally purchased 2 along with a friend - they are now emigrating to Canada and wish to sell out of the spanish properties - are you interested ??

It is huge and it is worth checking on the cost of current golf membership and fees.Beautiful resort though.

I would have thought it would be obvious to anyone, especially "wangy" who tells me he is a property developer, why there are so many properties for sale!

I am not mocking La Torre.  It would seem obvious to anyone, especially those in Property Development such as Wangy, that there are a lot of properties for sale everywhere in Spain.  He has already researched Roda so he should be aware.

No other resort has this many for sale

Kroda is the one who tried to get a couple of euros knocked off a meal (How cheap)

And also is seen hanging around the yellow label counter in the supermarkets

La Torre has lots of resales and repossessed properties available because many people purchased more than one property with the intention of then selling the second to pay for the first, at the time banks were basically throwing money at people.  We purchased at 190.000 off plan, had it valued at 275.000 on completion and got a mortgage of 230.000.  This isn't a problem unique to La Torre and has nothing to do with the quality of the resort (which is still pretty good for Spain), it is due to market conditions changing and supply outstripping demand.  Like many others, we got involved with this concept and have a sabina for sale.....let me know if you're interested.

Hope I'm not misjudging you but a couple of your posts here lead me to believe that you are a typical dub-skanger-made-good.

In simple terms too many people bought multiple properties when they thought prices would only go up and now find their finances pinched. From your point of view I would imagine it shouldn't be hard to pick up a bargain or two at La Torre. My informant (close to home?) who is an estate agent, tells me that La Torre is one of the best golf resorts in the area and the fact that so  many properties are for sale reflects on the type of buyer who got involved rather than any lack of satisfaction with the resort.
