Hi all,
We need to get to the Notary's office next week. The address we've been given is below. Can anyone provide directions and advice on how to get there, how long it is likely to take, where to park, etc ? Thanks !

D. Alfredo Gómez Hita,
Ctra. San Pedro del Pinatar, nº 22 izquierda,
30730 San Javier,
Murcia

hi, i completed in july so all i can remember is it is in the centre of town upstairs and next to a cafe. Not very helpful with directions. However, my solicitor was on the ball as he had me in there at 9.00 for a 9.30 appointment and it was all done and dusted in 3/4 of an hour which I was told can take up to 2 hours. There is only a limited amount of rooms three or four and they are usually occuppied for up to an hour at a time. The procedure is straight forward with the notary, a translator, your solicitor and a PW rep in attendance. The notary will ask you if you understand the contract etc, check your NIE number,( it would be advisable to have a photocopy of this) he will discuss the title deed, sort out the payments to date and the existing payments ask you if you have any questions and then sign off with you and PW rep.It is straight forward enough. The notary does speak english but the translator is there just in case. I hope this is some help sorry about directions!!!

Kev and Elaine,

Sounds as if you need the same NP as we used in San Javier about a month ago. Just e-mailed Betty for the directions as she was the "navigator" and I don't believe we got lost that time!

I found the instructions for DFS which is the same as for the Notary,
AP7 exit 780, San Javier 1st roundabout  left, San Javier 2nd roundabout right.
The Bank Santander on left, church in front, so if I remember correctly the car park is right then you are at it.

The Notary is the street straight across from the carpark and past the Bastlida furniture shop on the right hand side about 2 minutes walk.
These are coming from the north but I am sure when we went down to see Matt we still used the same instructions, so they need to come off at 780 either direction.

The car park is underground on the right hand side of the second roundabout, with the DFS furniture shop just across the road. When you get to the NP office you need to go up stairs, as they also have offices on the ground floor.

Best of luck,

Jim and Betty

hi Jim,

dont wish to sound niave but are these directions from condado?? we too have to attend the notary at the end of the month for completion and have only been given the address which is, Juan Isidro gancedo del pino, plaza de la libertad ,Torre Pacheco  i am thinking is this the same notary for all condado completions?? if so being near dfs furnishers, would enable us to kill two birds with one stone!! directions will definitely prevent a divorce instead of a completion??

 best rgds pete

Not all the same - we are completing in Los Alcazares (which is good - a seaside resort to stay in overnight!)

Pete,

As Barry and Sue said, not all NP's are in the same place so you need to be careful that you end up at the correct one. Getting to Torre Pacheco from Condado is quite straight forward and will send you a PM to explain the route and also from there to DFS.

Pete,

Cannot send PM as EoS system won't allow because I haven't made enough posts, I think?

From Condado head towards Alhama de Murcia on RM23 then cut across to RM 21 towards Cartagena. At the end of this stretch of motorway there are flashing lights and large roundabout. Here follow the signs for Torre Pacheco, F14 I believe, with large red and white towers on the left. You should pass through Jimenado on way to Torre Pacheco. Haven't been into Torre Pacheco ourselves, so you will need to ask direction to NP office when you get there. Journey time from Condado should be around 35 - 40 minutes.

If you are going on to DFS from Torre Pacheco look for the road from there to Los Alcazares, F12 I think, which will allow you access onto the AP7 motorway, past PW Mar Menor resort then PW garden centre, then just follow the instructions in our earlier posting for the San Javier NP office.

Trust this is what you want and is of some help.

Jim and Betty
