We are having our furniture shipped out in December and will be there to take delivery. We need to organise out electrical goods to be delivered whilst we are there. I have been on the Carrefour website and Corte De Ingles but cannot work out how to order things??  Can anyone provide me with the telephone number of someone that can help us organise our items to be delivered whilst we are there.

HI
I have been trying to arrange the electrical items via the internet, El Corte Inglais were good but needed a copy of both sides of a credit card, including signature and security number, which I did not want to send so we decided to wait until we arrive.
Delivery times in Spain seem to be much quicker than the UK...I hope
ps there is a translation website www.babelfish.com where you can cut and paste if you understand the Spanish.  You may find it useful

The email address is www.elcorteingles.es . We ordered a fridge and washing machine from there in the middle of August but as far as I know they haven't been delivered yet - my husband is trying to get through to them on the phone at the moment to check. We're out there next week and were relying on them being there when we get there.

with electrical items i suggest people dont pre order.i have had problems too.best bet is to go to mazarron and find a store that delivers next day once you have completed.if anyone is looking for a property to rent whilst awaiting completion let me know.

George - Do you know of a store that delivers next day? I think I remember someone saying, Payton? that they ordered late on a Tuesday and got delivery on Friday from Carrefour, and the prices are good there, but would be good to know about next day - Cheers

We ordered our appliances (fridgefreezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave) through DFS and they were able to deliver in time for our arrival out there. We did have to pay for them in advance and did this via bank transfer from our Spanish bank account to their bank account by e-mail so it was really straight forward.
The appliances actually came from a company called Real Domestic Company and we would probably have saved some money by going direct to them. I was really impressed with their service as  they had installed the appliances on Friday Sept 5th and unknown to us when they tested the washing machine they weren't happy that it was draining correctly so on Tuesday 9th Sept they arrived with a replacement washing machine  - I didn't even know there was a problem until they arrived to say they were replacing it.  John from Real Domestic Appliances called around the following day to check it had worked correctly on a full wash.  You would struggle to get this kind of service in the UK  - heres a link to their site.

We've gone with Real Domestics. They say they are on site several times a week and provided you can give them a couple of weeks notice of when you want the items they dont expect to have any problem delivering.

Ours are all Teka - same as oven and extractor (went for silver) - cost was €1,400 - think we could have got them cheaper if we went direct to Real Domestic and may even get them cheaper at Carrefour. Re Carrefour delivery, we bought an outside table and chair set from them at about 9.30pm on Monday evening and it was delivered around 1130am the next day!!  Delivery was €15 - couldn't believe how efficient they were.  Have looked at website to try and order BBQ but as I don't have spanish I can't do it.  You could call in on way from San Javier airport, if you take the AP7 direction Cartegena, Almeria (toll motorway) from the airport and look for the signs for the A30 for Cartagena Norte its just off that.  You can see Leroy Merlin & Decathalon on the right hand side of the road.

Ours are also all TEKA direct from Real Domestic and 1,400 euro's delivered fitted and packing removed.- so it may be no saving would be made if you get them direct like us. However, I hadnt realised that they are the same make as the cooker- so an added bonus too.

I wanted all same brand if possible-  I know it doesnt really matter- but when we shopped at Carrefour they had a good range but we couldn't get same brands in the different items- so looked elsewhere.

Hi Jan / Michelle,
We are also going for the Teka package in stainless steel and have a package qoute from DFS but not specifying the models. I have looked at the Teka website and I think they appear to be a good quality product from an established company. Do you mind letting me know the models (if you know) of the appliances you have been supplied with / chosen so I can compare if it is the same ones I have ear-marked from the website.

Thank's.

Hi
Has anyone who got the DFS/Read Domestics silver TEKA pack see it in situ?  If so does the fridge freezer fit in well or is there a big gap at the top to the cupboard above.  (Upstairs jardins)

Hi Tan,

We have an upstairs jardin apartment and the Teka fridge freezer from DFS/Read Domestics fits in fine. I have just  uploaded a photo so you can see.

Paul.
