Roof tilers in Campodi Gibraltar area

We were just wondering if anyone had witnessed any signs of progress in recent months ? We were last there in mid May and prior to that late January. There did seem a glimmer of hope with the change to a new administration team. The new President Javier Exposito and his Vice President, Antonio Biedma had  put a notice up on the board, asking everyone to work with him and be patient, and it was in English. We also noticed that more UK sounding names have joined the list of residents ( that may or may not be a good thing) ! We learnt from a resident of the villas down the hill on the right, that our president is something to do with the police force and that he has had a meeting with their president and the management of the tennis club with a view to forming an alliance that would have a stronger voice when dealing with the local authorities etc. So that all sounded very positive. It also seems probable that more properties are going to be built in the hollowed out bit of land below us, though I would think it unlikely to be anytime soon in the current climate.

We expect to be that way again in September

we are John and Debbie,and have just stumbled across this chat forum, so were unaware of  the communication going on between U/K owners of the apartments at Forest Hills.

It appears we are not the only ones haveing problems with the apartments.We are only at the apartment a few weeks a year but if you fancy having a chat with / perhaps have a drink ,if we are there at the same time,then please get in touch.

Welcome to this forum.

Yes there are a few of us UK owners linking up and sharing info and experiences, and we've met or spoken to a couple of other apartment owners. We attended the last Community Meeting back in March and I have a translation of the minutes done by Oscar who is part of the new management team,likeable chap and he speaks good English. We have just got back from the apartment,( we are on the 4th floor ) and had a great time.

the swimming pool was open which was very nice,well looked after,with grass edge and new trees planted.this ment we spent more time in the apartment rather than going to the beach to cool off.

I had a go at getting a key for the post box but was not sure if Santiago could understand my attempts at Spanish,so still not sure how we get the key. Used an alternative key! anyway. Some of the post boxes were very  full and some of the post was on the floor,so i picked it up and re posted them...Perhaps you know how  to get a key?.

We have a copy of the last meeting in English thanks.

We have the usual problems with damp around the windows and ceiling with the paint flaking off and some mould. We also have a large area of the wall with same problem. I guess this is  the drain from the apartment above is leaking inside the wall.

We had the place re painted last year and it looked great for six months but it all came back so am just leaving it at the moment.

We hope to go back at the end of September.

Nice to finaly chat to someone else at Forest Hills.
