        The last Friday March - 1th., I went to Ronda, by train.It was a very nice trip, thanks to the train, but above all because I traveled with my wife.

       We spent only few days, but they were wonderful.

       The hotel ("Montelirio") was fine; I recommend it.Now I am going to show you the view of the hotel, from the bridge that is close the hotel:

     In the picture above, you can see three big windows --below the balcony--, which belong to the restaurant of the hotel.A little later I will tell you about this wonderful restaurant; but now, I want to show you the entrance of the hotel.Here it is:

    When you go into the hotel, if you turn to your left, you will see a very nice typical window of a church (vidriera):

     In front of that window, you can see a big Ansalusian Patio.and in a corner, you can take the elevator

     That mirror was in the second floor as our bedroom too:

      In the hotel Reception told us that most of the furnishings are original to the house of the Count of Montelirio.Mariano Atienza was the owner of this house, around 1900  although it was built in 1700--.When he died, this house was converted in the "Hotel Count of Montelirio"-

    When we went out of our bedroom we could see this hall, with a small staircase at the end of it:

    And...then...we could see this one:

      Downstairs, beside the restaurant, we could see a confortable sitting room:

      ....with a windows through which you can see the famous "Tajo de Ronda"...

       When tou go down to the restaurant, you can see this image:

      Our first day in the hotel: the saturday, we choose this table for taking breakfast.At the end of the picture, you can see the famouse hotel "Parador de Ronda":

      The cuisine of this restaurant is very good.

      If you come here a day, I recommend you a dessert named "Torrija con vainilla".

       We met one of the owners of this hotel and he told us that the first area of Ronda (arround 1200), was named Albacara, and we could see the remains of the wall (the first wall which closed the city), from a windows of the restaurant:

      That entrance was named "Albacara" and the restaurant of the hotel "Montelirio" is named "Albacara" too.
