No doubt you are either at the airport or on your way by now, so you won't read this until you arrive in Spain.  I'm not jealous, honest!   John is suffering from withdrawal symptoms and talking about booking a few days in Seville in July, as we aren't due back in Spain until September!  I don't know who you are flying with (no doubt you said, but I don't have time to look back) but from what I have read, it's scaremongering again.  I think the larger airports can scan in passport details, and the smaller ones probably have smaller queues!  Hope that it's no worse than usual and please report back on your return!  By the way, the sun is shining in Morden/Colliers Wood at the moment.   Having said that, I would still rather be on my way to Spain.

Hi Suemac!

Sorry not to have replied earlier, had problems picking up the internet but all fine now.

We flew via Monarch from Gatwick and I presume they had all our passport details on file as we always fly with them.

So, at check-in there was no hold up at all, but going through to departures was a nightmare!

The security checks are what holds everything up.

They were having to check people's boarding times who were in the queue and fast track them through xray etc.,

Luckily, we were fastracked, else we would have missed our flight!

Anyway, having a great time here, weather brilliant, having to avoid the sun at times as it is so hot!
