Hi,

When completing on a property in Rafal in Feburary this year we stayed in the Hotel Eden Mar, Guardamar, while the hotel is quite basic it is very clean, good food, very friendly and central to the town of Guardamar.

Guardamar is a great place to stay & visit as it is just 20mins drive from many good villages, Rafal has a bus service & near the village of Callosa de Segura with a railway, Orihuela a very old historical town, & Almoraldi very busy.  All these villages and many others have plenty of shops and a weekly market,  also many Bars, Banks & other businesses where you are able to find all you need for a happy laid back life in Spain.

Just make sure you employ a good Solicitor who will give you the correct service you need,  a good way is to ask your Bank Manager to recomend one or someone who has already purchased. mack sure you have a Certificate of Habitation this will ensure you have the services connected.

Good luck on your purchase, there are plenty of good properties out there and this is the right time to BUY.

Regards,  Doe Doe.

Guardamar Arts and Crafts Market is now open to the public during the months of April and May. Every weekend from 6 p.m. until midnight, visitors and locals can wander along the tree lined Paseo Ingeniero Mira (THIS IS ALONGSIDE THE REINA SOFIA PARK

& ACCESSED FROM MAIN ROAD, DOWN ROAD PAST TOWN HALL) and enjoy the multi-cultural atmosphere and vast array of goods and products from all over the world.

The street market is a lively setting of handicrafts, books, jewellery and clothing and invites the passer-by to purchase a range of interesting and unique items to attract the discerning collector or the young fashion conscious tourist..

Guardamar’s Arts and Crafts open air market will continue throughout the summer months with some 100 stalls, opening DAILY from June – September  - 6.30 p.m. until 1.30 a.m. and returning to its regular weekends and ‘fiesta’ timetable opening hours from October – December.

For more information on the market and all that it has to offer, please contact the Tourist Information Office in Plaça de la Constitució or ring them on 96 572 44 88.
