Hello all,

I'm sure many have received the same; just to mention that Corvera sent us an email stating that they are embarking on a new and exciting stage of Corvera Golf & Country Club. Not much detail given - but it seems an email of this nature would indicate/ reinforce the positive scenes we are witnessing around the clubhouse.

I've sent a reply requesting some further detail, for example the partially constructed water-ways that were designed to flow around the development and if these are going to be completed, along with some other questions.

They also mentioned that they have over 400 owners now, and that they will be providing regular updates on the development from now on.

Hi Warren

Thanks for your post.  Once again I think it is very selective who receives these e-mails.  I certainly have not received this one.  When you mention the water ways are you talking about the partially stoned ravine surrounding the course.  If so, I would be interested if they are intending to completely stone it.  The limited grass gets washed away with heavy rainfall and looks very shabby.

Kind regards

Anita

Hi Anita - yes that's right, the stone ravine which starts off at the far end of the development near the clubhouse and was meant to run around the course etc.. like in the 'masterplan'. Since I sent the email I've had numerous employees of Corvera send a 'receipt' - hopefully I'll get some more info soon.

Have no wish to be too negative and hope things really are moving forward but as a small note of caution.

Calidona/Roda seem to have gone back on a number of promises made to Roda Owners upon purchasing at Roda.

Golf Rights are no longer exclusive as any member of the public can purchase an annual green fee regardless of living on Roda or not.

Renters in privately owned apartments are no longer offered the discounts on golf or in the clubhouse that was originally given

The Exclusive Roda Beach Club is now franchised to Collados and charging 10euros for entry even to Roda owners

Be wary

Hughman

If you have no wish to be negative, why the negative post. as a corvera owner i and others are only to aware of the short comings of Calidona, please do not spoil what is long awaited good news for a change.

For the last 2 years all news has been negative, now we have good news regarding the clubhouse and airport you add what can only be discribed as irrelavent at this time.

Yes you may be correct in your comments and yes the same may apply at corvera, but please let us enjoy the good news for once without adding negative posts to the proceedings.

I cannot see how being wary will alter things, it will be up to the relevent communities and presidents to challenge any discrepencies in the contract documents, if and when they appear.

I have just put up a batch of todays photos where they are covering the concrete supports with bricks and there are more workers tiday. I understand that the cranes will be back next week and there is some more plant been delivered

I understand that there will no immediate return of trolleys or buggys or the range as this will all be tied into the openning of the clubhouse

I suppose this means of course no charges for golf still

I am over shortly and have emailed Corvera to ask if the pro shop is likely to open and specifically whether trolleys will be available... on the assumption that Roy's post is right and this doesn't happen soon, can anyone recommend a nearby place to purchase/hire trolleys? I have5 or 6 golfers coming and whilst some will be okay to carry others won't.

Don't want to travel too far for these as keen to get the round in on the first day.

Any advice?

thanks

Paul

There are 4 locally the closest is in Alcantarilla, 15km ftom the resort where you will also find a McDonalds and large hypermarket, E Lecerc

There is one by Thader in Murcia, opposite IKEA, one on the commercial park outside Cartagena and one opposite Dos Mares on the N332 cllose to san Javier which also opens on Sundays

The email from Pablo reads:

Our project continues to move forward and at this point we are delighted and excited to start a new stage at Corvera Golf & Country Club.  We’d like specially thank all Corvera owners (more than 400 now!!) for their loyalty and faith in this project. We will give you updates on a regular basis in the forthcoming months. Finally we’d like to take advantage of this opportunity to send you the latest info about the Corvera International Airport (link to Simply Networking article already posted)

=========================================================

So good news and all positive

Also spotted this on Simply Networking - a bit late for all us 400 completers but may stimulate more sales of the empty properties, which can only be good news for Corvera and the development
