We are bringing a Freesat+ box over at Christmas but we currently only have a single LNB and need a double for the twin tuners.  Can someone please tell me how easy, or difficult, it is to change a single over to a double.

Thanks

Hello, it is very simple.  I went from a double to a 4 way LNB, bought the LNB and then had someone install it for €50.  It was all done in 15 minutes.

you can do it your self....unscrew 2 screws, swap LNB, screws back.....

the tricky part is getting hte LNB Skew / rotation angle correct and optimised.....

And you will need to run another cable down from the LNB to the receiver also....

had someone install it for €50

That sound a tad excessive....unless they used about 30 metres of cable also....

I was in B&Q on Sunday in UK.I noticed they are now selling Satellite dishes and kits. They only cost £40 but you have to buy the allignment "tool" seperately which seemed to me to be the most critical aspect.

Is it worth buying the dish etc. and erecting this myself or is it better to get someone in Costa del Sol to do it for me?Are these dishes easy to allign to the appropriate satellites or a lot of trouble.

Thanks

they are easy to do....

aligniment correctly needs to be done correctly...the "beeper" units are really no good for this....

and on a dish on the B&Q kit size, you realise you will not get any of the main UK TV channel if you bring it out to spain and use it in areas other than the north east of spain........

Thanks for your assistance.

In the round it seems it be better to pay a technician from "Skydoctor"or equivalent. Then I know it is done.

Cheers
