Solmar car hire

Hi My name is Les and I and my family are coming over to Alicante next uesday.

We have been having a great deal of difficulty hiring a 7-seater car and only Solmar seem to have any.

Has anyone had any dealings with Solmar and could recommend them?

 I know people that have used them and have been happy. I think you need to be quick as there seems to be a big shortage of cars around. I'm going on 2 July on my own and I can't get a small car unless I pay a fortune. At the moment if the rate is reasonable, book it. Keep looking and if you stumble across a better one you can always cancel. Its better than nothing!

We used Solmar 2 weeks ago (in Malaga) and they were very good. If when you get there you find the car too small it is quite cheap to upgrade with them as well.

As said though you should be quick as there does seem to be a shortage of cars.

Solmar are OK, we have used them many times from Barcelona and Reus. Only had one problem a long time ago when we had a small bump and although we'd taken out full insurance they tried to charge us an extra days hire for the day it would be off the road being repaired. Can't remember how that story actually  ended!
