Many people ask us questions all the time relating to all sorts of things relating to children in Spain.  These range from schooling, integrating, fun parks, etc.

If you've got any questions or useful advice then either post it here or start a new thread for discussion.

It's expensive but to get your little ones speaking Spanish I'd like to recommend MUZZY learning system from the BBC. I was sceptical but she's 19 months old and is now saying Si instead of yes!

I've been taking Spanish lessons myself and thought I was getting quite good - that was until I watched Muzzy and realised I didn't know as much as I thought I did. Oh well she'll have to translate for me.

I would also suggest that when you are next in Spain buy your children's DVDs here. Not only are they cheaper but you can select the Spanish language option for practice. You can find lots of familiar ones here from the Tweenies to all the Disney ones.

I am possibly going to consider purchasing a flat in Almoradi and will have to make my mind up for definite within approx the next week as this is when the deposit will be due.  I was out there the last 2 days, loved the potential apartment, liked the town, the market was on, had a couple of lovely meals and know that my kids would love all the aspects of daily life there and the swimming pool at the apartment, my only worry is what about in the evenings??  We walked around there after having had a meal at approximately 11pm on Friday night and the main streets leading from the square were really quiet apart from the odd bar.  Is there anywhere appropriate for taking kids in the evening for a quiet drink if you don't want a meal or don't want to sit in an adult type pub??  I'm afraid I may be boring them for the next few years of their life by taking them here and being stuck in the apartment every evening.  Any comments or suggestions would be welcomed.  Thanks.

ps Normally we wouldn't be going out at 11pm, we'd be going home by then!!  So really things to do and places to go after your evening meal.

I have a 4 year old and 2 year old and are moving permanetly to La Tercia Real next year. I would like to know some information about the local schools. I think Balsicas is the nearest (not to sure). Would anybody know how the schools integrate the children into Spanish schools?
