A few weeks ago I read a thread that suggested that Els had ceased trading. Can any body confirm if this is in fact correct; and if it is correct what will happen to all their clients paperwork e.g. wills, property paperwork and tax data etc?

Yes, ELS have ceased trading.
I understand a group of their ex-clients have grouped together to seek redress.
