UTILITY CONNECTION FEES

Hi All,

We purchased a new community apartment recently and are attempting to arrange for the gas/water and electricity connected. Our developer are looking for us to pay the connection charges but I have read that by law this should be included in the purchase of the property therefore the developer should be covering this cost. Is this correct that they should cover this by law? Has anyone had experience with this?

 We paid our own water/electricity connection fees on our development which I think is normal.

Note: If you buy a condominium or other type of community property, the price of connection to all utility services is included in the cost of the property by law. You still pay it - but in a different way
