Irish Passport Renewal

Good news and bad news! There's no charge for Irish pensionistas renewing their Irish passport. It is FOC. Bad news; the advice is that you get the necessary form from the Irish consulate in Alicante. I have e-mailed them twice but been blanked. I will call them on Monday. Otherwise I suppose I shall just have to knock on Dublin doors. Don't they ever check their own systems to see if they are working? Anyway, if there are any fellow Irish who have been down the rocky road I would love to hear from them.

You may already know this but if you intend to visit the consulate it can be quite hard to find, It is on an industrial estate on the edge of Alicante where it has an office in a Fyfees banana warehouse.
