Hi, does Spain have an HPI system in place? how do you know if the car your buing has outstanding fines attached?

try multalitas webpage if you know the matricula (registration) and the NIF of the person you are buying the car from, this will show you any fines in the last couple of years - or try the traffico website (dgt dot es) and look under 'testra' if you put the matricula in this will show any recent fines on the car too - but any fines on the car will be registered against the person who's name the car is currently registered too, the fines wouldn't be transfered to you.
