In response to the increasing popularity of the Andalusian Flamenco dance form Raquel Peña’s Sevillanas Club are introducing a series of lessons offering opportunity for enthusiasts to live their dream.
The new beginners’ classes are to be held at The Asturias near Torrevieja on Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 15th September.
Dance diva Raquel Peña, whose Sevillanas Flamenco Club members recently won 1st, 2nd places at the Mazarron Dance Competition, will be the tutor. Known for her engaging teaching methods she says: “We have had a busy summer with performances at Los Alcazares, San Pedro del Pinatar, Punta Prima and more recently, El Mojon. It is a chance not only to learn but to perform and both ladies and gentlemen are invited.”
