Major life insurance companies in Spain are as follows:
  • MAPFRE Vida Insurance
  • VidaCaixa Insurance
  • BBVA Seguros Insurance
  • Ibercaja Insurance
  • Caser Insurance
  • Zurich Vida Insurance

You should ring or email these companies and obtain a quote then look for a good Financial Advisor in the area you reside

It is possible to use a UK advisor if you wish

Coleen, why do you want whole of life and not term insurance?

Term insurance is cheaper than whole of life as part of the premium in whole of life is invested in the stock market for growth and lets face it is isn't performing at the moment.

The premium and term can be fixed with level term as well so you will know exactly what you will be paying for the life of the policy.

Whole of life policies tend to get expensive as you get older..

Many thanks for your considered replies.

I am trying to cover myself for Inheritance Tax and that is why I was considering a whole of life policty.

I would be grateful of any comments or other thoughts on dealing with inheritance tax.

I would advice that you seek independent financial advice as the permutations for H.T. are massive. Make sure that the company you use are regulated by the FSA in the UK.
