registering british car in spain

thinking of buying on la torre or roda, we have visited la torre and did like the open feeling of the appartments. found roda a little cramped, could anyone give me their thoughts on buying an appartment on la torre, and which phases seem to be the best.    also, does anybody know what the maintenance charges for an appartment would be on la torre.

We bought a 2 bedroom apartment off plan on La Torre about three and a half years ago. We have just completed on it a week ago. There are plenty of resales on La Torre.  The prices vary depending on whether you want front line golf or just round a pool. We are on phase 8 which is a poolside apartment. It is close to the town centre and all the amenities. All the apartments have underground car parking - which is a big advantage in a hot country. Also the apartments all have air conditioning as standard in the lounge / dining area - which is not the norm in Spain and the bedrooms are all prepared for air conditioning. Nobody knows what the exact maintainance fee is going to be, but when the complex is fully complete and up and running it will probably be about 100 euro per month.

T hanks David & Linda for your reply,  we have visited la torre a couple of times, wasnt quite sure why there are so many resales?, not sure whether this is a good thing or bad? what are your views.  Also would you know the cost of a taxi to the coast/san javier airport, not for us personally, just thinking if family and friends were to stay, how much it cost possibly.  We were very impressed with La Torre and just asking around to get as much information as we can, hoping this will be the best place to buy.

The reason that there are so many resales may be due to the fact that people bought thinking that they would make a quick profit. This has turned out not to be the case as you can buy a property on La Torre now for the same as we paid three and a half years ago, however the prices will probably go up dramtically when the complex is finished in about 6 months time - just as has happened on the Mar Menor Resort. The prices there have gone through the roof since it has been finished and in our opinion La Torre is a much better resort. Sorry don't know the price of taxis as we always hire a car. Polaris World are supposed to be putting on a free shuttle bus between all their resorts, one of which will be a beach resort, but that probably won't happen until they are all complete.
