Interested to know if this is happening in other gardens.  By 10am this morning there were about 10 sun loungers and deck chairs out on the grass area by our pool without any people with them (not in the pool either).  Seems at least one group has claimed half the grass area at one end of the pool as their own.

I don't stay by the pool all day and just walk down to use it but if I did want to lie down I wouldn't be that impressed with this practice.  The pool areas aren't that big and to put a group of loungers and chairs spread out so others can't use the area when you are not even there yourselves is taking the piss a little bit.

Or maybe this is now common practice??

At least they do turn up at the pool late morning....would be worse if they didn't arrive until afternoon.

Seems to be catching on....at 9am there were close to 20 chairs and towels laid out on the grassy areas....although one lady was sitting in one of the chairs smiley

Just hadn't noticed this in previous years.  At least everyone is enjoying the pool!!

I have just read this. We joke about the Germans putting towels on loungers now this. Its unfair. We do not holiday on Condado during July & August so have not witnessed it happening in Jardin 5 but maybe it does during the peak times, either way I wouldnt be happy. My advice would be to speak to your garden president & see what if any rules are in place. We bought off plan & never knew this was happening. Alternatively contact the new administrators. If they are not notified of the situation they cannot do anything about it. The more people who are unhappy about any thing & the more those people report it the better, then hopefully something will be done about it. I am sure in the early years there was a sign banning sun loungers near the pool. This I think was a ruling imposed by Polaris. At some point that sign was removed. Pity, as I guess the reason for the ban was to prevent a situation you speak of .
