Hi I have just come across this arrangement while trawling through the possibilities for health care when living in spain and was wondering if anyone on site uses this ( for anyone who hasnt heard of it as i understand it it is a monthly payment made through the social security office to be able to use the national heakth care system in spain its 60 euros for anyone under retirement age and I think it was 157 euros for anyone over. under this arrangement it does not matter if you have any pre existing conditions but it does not cover the cost of prescriptions)
If anyone has any information on this i would be grateful to get a fuller understanding of it also how much prescriptions cost in spain and as I understand it you have to be living in spain fot a year before you can apply for this so does that mean for that first year you would have to have private health insurance?
