hi rugrat just to echo what you have said ..anyone who buys and just accepts what the sellers say is costing them quite a bit of cash as some of the things they are having done is done by the most expensive companys and if they look round they can save hundreds of euros...............dennis

It isn't just about price but also quality, because you are buying as an investment. I can show people some real examples of security grills for example where the quality just doesn't even come close on 2 Eagles next door to each other

There is some tiling and ground work going op where the excavations are not deep enough, with my background I know thois,  the base is a joke for the tiles to go onto, but of course it is  cheap price, it won't last but it is a cheap price

AC yes you can go buy units from Leroy Merlin but for for arond €100 more you can get LG units fitted with a guarntee via a reputable Spainish supplier

You need to get multiple prices, check the quality of the supplier and not buy ONLY based on the lowest price, the vultures are circuling Sierra Golf again, one company recently quoted €1600 more for AC than the prices that I had

Hi Rugrat. My wife & I arrived but a few weeks ago and I have to say the help we have had from this Community Forum has not only been exceptional but also essential. Where we were stumbling blindly in the proverbial darkness of a new vicinity, wondering what-was-what and what-was-where,  other Forum users have come to our rescue as if to shine a beacon on where we needed to go.

My advice is this... heed what other ex-pat's say for their advice is collectively based on years of experience & learned knowledge.

Sierra Golf has to be one of the best communities for helping and assisting others, if not the best.

Bonne chance mon ami.

I will be in Sierra Golf next week having just completed today. I am hoping to seek and get all the assistance from this community.

I plan to arrange or get electrical fittings in place at a minimum as I understand that electricty and Water will only be available in approx 10days. I am also reliably informed that grilles are mandatory for peace of mind :-)

Are there any items to consider or prepare ahead for. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Many thanks..
