IS THIS FIRM FIT FOR PURPOSE?

Hi All

This is my first post but I have been reading all the other posts for sometime . I have purchased on both Las Higuericas and El Romeral . I have visited both sites on numerous occasions . The last being 3 weeks ago at Easter . The area is stunning and each time I vist the site has progreesed albeit slowly . I have spoken to many people both from Spain Select and Finca Parcs and am currently being told that Phase one has now been approved and will be finished 10 months late . Phase 2 where I have bought by mid next year . One fact that keeps croping up is Dragados the builder . Every Spanish bank or contact says they are the best builder in Spain and are very keen on their reputaion so will only build what is properly authorised . Delays have been due to building reg changes which I noticed on an independant site were approved for 101 houses on phase one around mid March . I like you all am waiting for the dream but at the moment am content and in no desperate rush . I have a bank guarentee strangely for El Romeral but not Las Higuericas . But the amount of work done and the fact Dragados are involved makes me feel confident that one day I will see my houses . I also noticed the prices have just gone up on Finca Parcs web site with an Ester now priced at 260500 from 249700 euro's . Anyway thats all for now keep the posts coming so we can all sleep easier .

Been to the site today, looking good lots of work going on so pleased after reading some the comments on this site. We are on the first phase and have copy of building licence for our house, bank guarantee for money paid so far and an expected completion date, all we need now is the house, and the dosh to pay for it of course !

A nice piece of good news on a Monday!!! I'm going out to the site myself in the next month or so and it would be good to see some progress pictures before I do. Lady Dallowa tell me you took some of the site, i think we all could do with seeing construction in progress!

Hello everyone, back yesterday 7th May from site visit. We have two Esther on phase one and stood on the plot site, the view was stunning, the lake is now full and the river flowing, huge trout jumping it was just so beautiful and peaceful. The site is absolutely immaculate, the building by Dragados so far is stunning never have I seen a building development so tidy and precise. I have bought off plan for more than 16 years so I know what to expect and have never been worried about Las H. If some members below just take a bit of time out and try and understand planning and conservation and how the two sometimes do not always merge nicely then they would clearly understand and appreciate the delays at the site. The Cleyton Ges people are sound and as for all those ladies out there that would like a site visit then they should request Hurado he is the Sales Manager and will only be too happy to take you to the site. He knows everything about the development and the time scale etc. Always ask for him and insist he takes you he is the best. We had fab tapas at Bar Luna in Agramon and that gorgeous red wine from the barrel on the bar! It's not too long now, hold on everybody it's just so worth the wait, they will be so very sought after when they are all completed, just fab. Princess x

Hi Everyone, just to let you know that we made another site visit on Tuesday and took some photo's which a friend is going to help me put on this site later today hopefully,  last attempt I managed to loose the lot so better luck this time. As Bernice has said the area is stunning, photo's, brochures and words do not do it  justice at all, any disbelievers out there really need to come over and look for themselves first hand to see the all the work that is going on, it's well worth the effort.  Just to make you all jealous over there in the UK  we took a picnic and had a peaceful afternoon by the lakeside, glorious warm sunshine and clear deep blue skies, just heavenly !!  

Have managed to put the photo's on shared photo's, only one cockup but thats good for me !!  the photo's where taken this week on the 8th May 2007 not 1st Jan 2007, I did'nt notice the part where I was supposed to put the date they were taken, still I'm feeling pretty proud of myself, not bad for an old bird with no computer skills.

 

Just back from Spain after visiting the site on Monday with some positive news, the show house was under construction with plenty of work going on, have spoken with the developer and they have promised to update their website with new information and photo's a.s.a.p.  The surrounding countryside is looking fantastic with both the lake and river full, the best I have ever seen in Eastern Spain.

 I am coming to Spain on Friday and want to visit the site, are our agents allowed to take us round the site or do we need to contact somebody in particular??????

Can anyone shed any light on this for me

Hi Karen,  You will need to contact your agent to take you to the site, the site is now fenced off  and a lot of heavy machinery working, we had to go with our agent and not allowed on the actuall site but there were plenty of viewing areas along the road and by the old finca, you can get a good view of the show house from a pullin close by, hope this is of some help to you.  Taz

Thank you Tazmore, will be going to the site later in the week and will take loads of pictures,also going to get our NIES cards, even though the project has been delayed it is still exciting!!!!!!!!!!
