I know I have seen this before but didn't pay attention! So apologies for repetition.......

embarrassingly just oust tried to use the oven for the first time since bought in January..... Well it's been lots of salads, eating outs and Mercadona carrot cake! ..... Grandkids here and they wanted chicken nuggets (yuk!) .... Turned oven on and the fuse box tripped out....... Any known solutions anyone?

thanks Ian

Hi Ian

Check what kitchen appliances are currently sharing the same  fuse that tripped. If necessarry buy a higher rated circuit breaker ie go from 10amp to 16amp or 25amp and see if this makes a difference. You may need an electrician to help you with this change.

Good Luck

Hi Ian, i have been told that the tripping out can be caused by residual dampness where the apartments have been unused for a long while. (Modern fuse boards are very sensitive to earth current leakage).Hope this helps, Mark.

Hi Ian

If that doesn't work some owners have had to upgrade their supply to accommodate them elands being put on it   Have a search for potencia in this and other forums as I think it's been covered and discussed before

Hi

To answer your question I have only this week had the same problem. I took the oven out of the housing to check the connections and earth and could not work it out myself. I went down to our management company AEA in the port and they gave me the name of the electricians they use on our community. They have had the same problem many times over. I gave them a call and they popped out the same day. They had to unplug the oven and change the wires over in the plug. They then ran the oven for 45 mins to dry out the moisture as this is also a problem if unused for such long periods and can also trip the electric.

Altogether it took an hour and they charged me £25 Euros. Very helpful and very good value. Better than in the UK. All worked fine for the remainder of our time out there. Their number was a spanish number of 952892398.

Hope this helps. Good Luck

Mick
