Telephone Landline????

Can anybody tell me as I have been advised that Telefonica will not be placing landlines to the community which is a shame as Vodafone and Movistar are offering great landline, ADSL and internet deals.

Has anybody got suggestions on getting fast internet sufficient to watch Brit channels from internet to TV and in addition any mobile packages included.

What Phase are you in?. The Phase 1 community has been talking to Telefonica for 6 years. The reason they gave for no phone service being provided was there were no ducts to bring the cables in. When the road down from the railway bridge was redone last month the final peice of missing ducting was installed.

We are now collecting names of neighbours interested in having a landline in order to put pressure on them to instal the cables. We are going to ask Phases 2 & 3 to collect signatures as well. 

There are a number of options for restoring "Brit channels" which will be discussed at the Phase 1 AGM tomorrow.
