Flight prices this summer

Not sure if you mind driving but Manchester to Alicante in August 2 adults £432.00. Manchester to Madrid £201.00 both return with our Irish airline, saving is nearly the price of car hire for the week?

If you can get down to Gatwick with a bit of flexibility, BA will get you to Alicante on 24 Aug returning 5 Sep for £98 with hand baggage.  You get allocated seats and snacks and drinks on board. Timings aren't brilliant, but you can choose other flights for higher fares.  If you're taking golf clubs there are treated as a normal piece of baggage and not charged more than you bought them for in the first place.  Check out BA's dealfinder site. It changes regularly. I did an all airport search to Malaga thro Travel Supermarket and prices range from GBP 158 to GBP 363 for a Return Booking from 29th Jul to 6th Aug. It does not look like you will get any better prices at the moment.It is of course peak season for all the Airlines.

I always use skyscanner and search on a one way basis, there are some cheap returns at beginning of August .I've found that you can often get them cheaper by picking and chosing, Norwegian are still doing some cheap flights form Gatwick and BA . We booked our October flights this way, going half term and have got BA flights for £90 for 2 of us. My daughter advised this way for searching and she works for Thomas Cook!
