Hi all,

can anyone recommend a really good cleaner please. I don't want to pay over the odds but would like someone who takes pride in their work and isn't going to moan if asked to cover the patio furniture after a rental. It's really important to me to get someone i can trust in the apartment and I know will do a thorough job. If you can recommend through experience please please let me know.

It's for a 2nd floor Penthouse propert if that makes a difference on pricing

Many thanks, any help will be most welcome

Hi

We use Niiki and Craig at Sparkle to look after our apartment.  They do a great job and come highly recommended.

Have a look at their website for prices etc.  www.sparklecleancondado.com

Best Wishes

Always wondered if you leave the apartment u r renting quite clean when u leave, and it takes only one hour for the key holder to finish, y not charge an hourly fee of say 15euros as this would attract more renters as some cleaning company's on Condado charge way to much.

Business and are very genuine people

Of course a keyholder is a cleaner. ( a very well paid cleaner)!

Nothing wrong with being a cleaner, under any name, if it pays the bills!! The majority of any keyholder's work is cleaning!

Sorry I thought a key holder was much much more than a cleaner
Or is it just mine .
Question who looks after your property when you are not there ?
1 the binman 2 the cleaner 3 property management company
Who do you call when you have a problem
1 the cleaner 2 the barman 3 your key holder .
Your answers to these questions will determine if you have a clearer or a key holder

Is it possible to do both?

Nikki & Craig do our keyholding and offer cleaning services as well. Unless you intend to be at the apartment when cleaning is required, surely you need a key holder as well.

A keyholder is invaluable...my point was just that primarily keyholder is a cleaner...as I felt cleaners were being put on a lower level....

In my experience the majority of keyholders i have met/spoken to so far on CDA are cleaners...in fact appears to me that the are just about anything for a price and quite a hefty price at that with the exception of one keyholder I know. I must point out here I am not knocking keyholders that's how they earn there living etc I just can't believe that people do not question some keyholders charges but then again they don't actually force owners to pay them.

I don't operate on CDA but have a properry management compnay that also does cleaning and laundry which has too be part of a standard service and it is difficult, if not impossible to provde cleaning without management because somebody has to provide a key and give access to the property

There a various levels of keyholding, people who do exactly that and for €100 a year just hold a key for access in an emergency, or perhaps to give to a cleaner

We don't do just cleaning for this reasonand not all of our customers have their properties cleaned, it tends mainly to be people that rent out

A property manager will check the place regularly and report back any problems, change liight bulbs, air the place, water plants etc and in our case we actually advertise propertues and get rentals for our customers and we ,make an annual fee for management and then extra commission if we get a rental

It also includes if there are problems, floods, break ins, animal infestations, dealing with the problems and resulting paperwork

I don;t know what is seen as being reasonable for cleaning, only what is typical in the industry, which is around €70 for a clean for 4 people including laundry but I wiuld expect it to include making the property fully ready for an arrival, making up beds, putting out furniture and shopping for a welcome pack if required

Just make sure you understand EXACTLY what the service is and any additional charges, on a contract
