Only 1 bike and 1 scooter have been stolen from Al Kasar, which I agree is one too many! But, a bike rack would not have saved the scooter...so regarding the bike...where would you have the bike rack??? My reason is Im sure that if the rack was anywhere but next to La Cata...the relevant parents wouldnt have used and therefore prevented this theft! So we would then need nbike racks beside all businesses....now there isnt room to swing a cat beside these businesses let alone room for bike racks!!

The majority of these bikes are being stolen from the home...so they need to be secured at home or brought in to the home! Marking them is a wonderful idea! We just need to be aware of this problem!

There's plenty of room for bike racks  at each entrance of Al Kasar, and you can secure scooters through the wheel as it joins the the handle strut or at the rear. Its up to owners if they dont want to walk back to bike racks- choice of loosing bikes etc. At least they'd have the option, we'd use them if they dont they can't complain. But, if people dont agree they dont agree.

Jan, I just cant see them being used!! I just cant see parents or little Johnny bothering to put them there when its so much easier to dump at their rears....even if it risks being stolen.....not sure if Im getting too old or just too cynical!! If we as parents dont chain them up at home why would I bring a chain to Al Kasar and chain it up there? I confess entirely to being one of the worst offenders of getting into bed and then thinking are the bikes away...then thinking...they'll be all right!

People are on holidays and the majority dont want the hassle of chaining, unchaining, chaining and unchaining wee Johnny's bike every time he wonts to ride round AL Kasar. i admire you if you would be able to smile and walk to the supermarket ( without rubbing your teeth together) and unchain or chain it each time he changes his mind about what he wants to do!

Bike racks would be a good idea if they were at every establishment with some sort of built in lock, where you put in a Euro and it locks the bike....but how much would that cost? Money that could be more wisely spent on our CPR team after the rececnt tragic accident on resort!! I know where I would prefer to see ML spend my money!

Entitled to your opinion, but we'd use them and my brother (who had children with him) asked why there weren't any on a recent visit. The locks are on the bikes so no-one has to carry anything about.

(What was the tragic accident? Most we have read is that someone fell at one of the pools. The CPR team is being funded by a variety of fundraisng and is now a registered charity and isn't funded by ML- I think there maybe legal implications/complications to funding a team of First Aiders and it would be another job for someone maintaining their records and update training etc- but it is surely a useful service to have on CdA.)

No locks on any bikes I have!! Are these special bikes or am I losing plot completely??

Sorry on a different post they are saying that rather than having free wifi some would prefer the money being paid to A2Z to go to CPR fund...well aware its not funded by ML..remember even the empty properties CCs are paid by banks...so all these empty properties are paying for free wifi.....just think what that money would do for CPR fund!

Just heard and seen Spanish fire crew entering Condado..what next?
