Washing machines

I have a rental property and the washing machine fitted at new build has stopped working.  Apparently it just doesn't work at all.  As I am in the U.K. I need to get it fixed/replaced.  Obviously I need someone trustworthy who won't just kick it and charge an arm and a leg.  Normally I would get Gordon but he is on holiday and I can't get hold of him.

Any recommendations?

The quality of the washing machine that the developer installed back in 2006/7 was at the low end sub 200 euro machine and is probably at the end of its life and not worth repairing. Rather than ask an expensive plumber or tradesman, it would be better for you to buy a new one from Worten and get someone living at DJ to order and arrange the install it for you. Based on my experience LG make good and reliable white appliances.

We had to buy a new one last year.  Got one from El Cortes Ingles, brilliant service; delivered within a couple of days, installed & tested before they left and they took the old one away and all for no extra charge. So different from the hassle in the UK.

We had to buy a new washing machine. We bought a Zanussi from Hipercor (same building as El Cortes Ingles) and the price paid included delivery, installation and removal of the old machine.

We were very pleased with the whole service, especiallly the fast delivery despite the machine not being in stock at the time of ordering. It was only a matter of a few days from making the order to having a working machine.
