Does anyone know anything about the level 1 and 2 presidents trying to get rid of A2Z and us loosing British TV?

Yes, it's been in the minutes of the last two L2 presidents meetings, don't know why they want to change as the service from A2Z is fine?

I agree, its certainly improved. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I believe as we now own the telecommunications infrastructure which was previously thought to be owned by A2Z we are free to listen to offers from other companies and a better deal is potentially on the table when our current deal expires with A2Z. Competition is a good thing sometimes. JF

 The ownership of the infrastructure has not been settled, that would take a court case as A2Z state that they own it.   I have rmails from ML saying that their lawyers agree that A2Z own it but it now seems that something has changed.  Other resorts have gone down this route and lost, Terrazas for instance.  At Terrazas they didn't sign an agreement with A2Z so they no longer have UK TV, each block has a arial for Spanish TV but if you want UK TV or internet you have to either put up you own dish ( which is against the rules ) or get an individual contract with A2Z ( as they still own the infrastructure ) which will cost you a lot more than now.  see http://www.eyeonspain.com/community-forum/30273/tv.aspx

With just a couple of presidents and Milenium controling everything, we are kind of at their mercy. I had heard that they wanted to get rid of the British TV here as the Spanish owners don't want to pay for it. Neither do they want to pay for internet maintainance. The presidents we have just seem to do what Milenium tell them to do. Thats how I see it anyway. I guess time will tell.

Think yourself lucky you still have it Mel and Phil but how long that lasts is there for the grace of God.

I am guessing that this is the start of the annual hate ML campaign with the AGM on the horizon again. Last year it provided people with a 3 month window of complaining largely triggered by rumour and innuendo that came to nothing.

Lets not get into that kind of gossip and scare mongering this year and approach the AGM with some common sense. CDA and ML for that matter are performing well under very tight financial and economic difficulties. Maintaining what we have is very important as when ever there may be a financial upturn in Spain, we need to be well placed to capitalise- I am talking about hotels, more properties and facilities and lakes full of water!

Somewhere in the region of 40 per cent of owners are UK or Irish so getting rid of UK TV does not make any sense and I have not yet seen a decision made by the Presidents or ML that was not reasonable or sensible.

Keep it real people and put yourself forward for President of your block if you can do better. JF

Actually it isn't an annual hate ML campaign. I merely asked a question but if the cap fits wear it. As for standing for president, only those ML want will get in. They'll use the bank votes to block who they don't want just like they did last year. I'm not even bothering to go the AGM its a farce.

 I could not agree more to Faulky444, better leave your negative vibes in the box. We dont need another three months of campaigning and deviding the resort, being british, norwegian or spanish should not be a topic. It would be a big problem for many of us when they pull the plug and dont show uk channels anymore but I am sure our presidents will have their say. Keep the spirit up, enjoy the sunshine as all others do on site.
