This afternoon I went to put my rubbish in the bins between J12 and J13 and found the plastic bin overflowing.  People had just dumped bags of "plastics" beside the bin.  I say "plastics" because it was obvious from looking that there was general rubbish in these fly infested bags. Loose plastic water bottles were just dumped and anyone on CdA the past couple of days would know about the wind so these bottles were all over the road and in the bushes.

The thing is the bins were empty 50m up the road and anyone going to one set of bins could not fail to see the other ones.

Considering it only took me 3 extra trips to tidy up most of the rubbish I find it pathetic that the people who dumped the rubbish couldn't make the walk.

Rant over.

I experienced the same thing twice earlier this summer between Naranjos 7 and 8. I also spent only 5-10 minutes cleaning it up, as there was plenty of space in the bins 30-40 meters away. I can’t believe that people don’t care more about how their property and the surrounding areas look. In addition you have the obvious risk of pests.

There are MASSIVE rats that run around on Condadoand forage around the open bins.  I have seen them.  Please do not encourage vermin................

Perhaps the administrators would consider putting small signs on each bin saying 'strictly no food waste' ?? Just a thought.

Is it really necessary for there to be open bins on Condado?

I appreciate it may help to deter litter on the site, but I think there is more of a temptation for people to put food in them.

I certainly don't want massive rats running around Condado.  Let's nip this in the bud now!

It's renters season. Inevitable that we will get people who have no interest in keeping up standards and behaving themselves. Those owners who are interested in making a quick buck by renting to any bodies should be held responsible in some way. It's one thing renting to people that you know and another to general public who come without references so to speak.

It's another abuse of the services that we are all required to pay for but people with additional demands ( animals and poor tenants) take up an excessive amount of the budget.

I think if you are operating a rental business from one of the properties then that should be declared and an additional damage limitation levy set against the owner for the extra services required to tidy up after irresponsible tenants. Whilst it is great that CDA is getting more popular, it has been very noticeable that the Quality of some visitors has deteriorated is year.

That should get some lively debate going! Jon Faulkner

How about Security handing out information/Instructions when renters enter the resort. I bet half of them don't realise the bins are there.

I have turned away 2 booking this year on the basis that I really didn't get a good feeling about the 'quality' of the renters.  I know it sounds a bit snooty but I really don't want my place trashed or the resort full of neds. I learned my lesson a couple of years ago when Carol my keyholder was faced with dogs abuse from three hen party chicks - I didn't even know they were on a hen weekend. They were stubbing their fags out in my new teatowels - despite it being a strictly non-smoking apartment in the first place and chucking my cutlery straight into the bin as they couldn't be vothered washing it!!  They were rude to Carol and also very disrespectful to my neighbours.  I am far more careful now as to whom I rent it to and it is mostly friends and family now anyway.  It is, however, nigh on impossible to be 100 percent sure all of the time though I guess. And even harder to police.

As a side issue I think the security should keep a note of every renters address and send to the Spanish tax authorities, having to pay circa 24 or 30% on rental income, plus having to prepare accounts may make owners think twice about renting in the first place.

We endured some lovely renters around the penthouse pool between blocks 9 & 10 - their everyday language was not for the faint hearted.

Your 'hen party' guests really must have been thick neds Arlene. The obviously did not realise when you come out of Alicante airport it is the Alicante/Benidorm turn off you head for, not Murcia/Almeria !!!!

Seriously, they sound like right scumbags. Can't think why on earth a hen party would head for Condado ???

Regards,
