What does new resort ownership mean for existing property owners ?

Hi All, Since rumours are abound that Corvera Golf & Country Club has been sold by Calidona to a new international consortium of investors in the last few days, what will this mean for existing owners ? Will this speed up the opening of the clubhouse and golf course ? Will it mean that Corvera Golf & Country Club is actually going to be marketed for the first time ? Calidona did a little bit of TV advertising in Spain for Roda Golf very early on and they also placed quite a lot of internet and press ads across Europe, will the new owners be doing the same for Corvera Golf ?

Could someone tell us who the new owners are, what are their backgrounds and what they are planning to do with Corvera Golf & Country Club over the coming months and years ?

 

Simon if you join the private forum all can be reveaed but I doubt very much that it will be discussed on a public forum, plus that fact it is way too early yet to know what their plans are but it can only be good news, and by the way I don't thonk it should be debated on a public forum

I would suggest considering sitting here today on Corvera I can see them working on the golf course and clubhouse, and because the existing staff are still there, I doubt initaly that there will be any impact on owners

Hi Roy, What's the big secret ? Surely the new owners will want to be talked about and get as much publicity as possible ? As an owner i am expecting to get an email or letter from Celia or someone else representing the new consortium that has taken over in the next few days, i certainly hope we have not gone from Calidona who were seemingly incapable of any sort of meaningful communication to another dumbstruck organisation. The very FIRST thing the new resort ownership consortium should be doing is getting the existing apartment and villa owners onside. Corveragirl, you appear to be connected with the new consortium ownership, so please tell us about these new owners and what they plan to do with Corvera ?

My understanding is that it's business as usual. The New guy needs to get his feet under the table and size everything up, but as an entity nothing changes from what I can make out as we were all contracted by Corvera golf as owners and that still exists, in my book at least something is likely to happen now as they will be keen to make progress and get the rest of the units occupied by hook or by crook. With Murcia listed as the 22 hottest spot to buy property allegedly that should bring more of the types of investors tha ae turning up to buy in the area, disappointing though that athe airport won't happen into 2013..you wold have thought they had plenty of tme to get the paperwork ready hols the we're building it!

Flights are cheap to murcia right now..am looking at a flight n a couple of weeks for less that 50 return...why not eat yourself ur there for a look, are you an owner already?

Hi Corveragirl, Could you let us know who the new resort owner is ? Why has there been no attempt to contact existing villa and apartment owners by the new resort owner ?

Even if the new resort owner is a private investor and has no admin infrastructure, then surely Celia in the Sales Office or Housing could have put out a newsletter or statement at least informing property owners about the resort sale and new owner ?

Maybe you are not aware but one of the big problems that property owners had with Calidona was their lack of communication, So if you are indeed connected to the new owner then please can you inform him that it is very very important that he tries to keep existing villa and apartment owners informed, starting with telling us who he is and what his plans are ?

I really am not connected, just happened to be there at the right time as i was speaking to the staff there about buying a property there. understand they are called Calloway One and the main guy is called Antonio who is allegedly the ex chief of a bank and has bought it lock stock and barrel, but I don't know much more than that apart from the fact the staff have been told their jobs are safe.
