We were rescued by a wonderful man called John Bates.  He lives on the Mar Menor near Cabo de Paolos but was so helpful after a rather chaotic completion.  He changed locks, fitted clips on the blinds to prevent them being lifted, fitted lights, shower screen and becuase when we completed we didnt have any electriicty we couldnt put in the white goods, he sourced them for us - and saved us a forture - and was there to install them.  He even stored furniture for us.  Is in there now putting up the last of the curtains and just quoting for a extension to the worktop in the kitchen.  Really cant speak highly enough of him.

Let me know if you would like his details? I only have his wifes email address so dont really want to put that on but email me and I can forward it?

In reply..... Can anyone help with the name of a good local locksmith to change my door locks at La Torre please ?

I assume you dont need to change the whole of the actual lock itself because of damage or anything...and I think there is only one lock (on the front door) per property anyway....if it is only to cover yourself from anyone having copies of the original keys to your property then you only need to change the central lock barrel.   Most  folks swap their barrel and keys with someone else on the resort from another street....they are all the same type.

If you dont want to do that then you get a new barrel from any hardware store for about 5 euros..and you get a complete new set of keys. It takes a minute or two to swop.
