Do you want a 5 Star Resort or not?????

Phil has raised the question 'Are you happy with your President?'.

The only way we the owners can change things is not by moaning on here, it is by changing the running of the Resort and the people who control the management of the Resort - The Presidents!

Do you get regular updates on what is happening?

Were you aware of the proposals on reopening the Sports Zone?

Do you want something practical like a gym with squash courts, tennis etc as we had and what we bought into  that will attract Renters/Buyers and help push property prices up and make the Resort attractive or somewhere to go and do your knitting?

Do you know about the proposal to provide increased telecoms, internet access and TV for just a few euros a month?

Do you know that some Presidents dont bother to vote on proposals so the Resort is being run by a few and your voice may not even be heard?

If you do not know who your president is please find out and ask them

why they dont communicate with you?

What there view is on the future of the Resort (as this will colour their judgement)?

Are they standing again?

What do they contribute to the management of the Resort?

If they are not standing find someone who will try and put Condado back on the road to being a 5 star Resort (this wont be done overnight and neither will it be acheived by posting negative words here on EOS)

But we can start the ball rolling on the 28th May.

I realise by posting here i am in danger of upsetting some people and leaving myself open to ridicule and abuse.

All I can reiterate is that the only way change will come about is by making it happen not talking about it and moaning.

For all those doubters, put yourself up for nomination and do something

If you cant attend make sure your voice is heard by completing the proxy form on Phils posting and pass it to someone you trust.

I realise that the Presidents role can be a thankless task but it will only improve when the resort improves and people are happier.

It is about time some people realised they are not on a five star golf resort far from it. They have to forget about Polaris Worlds promises and get on with things on  there own. Badger your president, find out whats happening,make the changes you want happen by working together and backing people who want to at least try and bring the resort to somewhere near the five stars we thought we had bought into instead of sitting back and moaning and waiting to see if someone else will make the changes for them.

You are right in everything you say, comunication seems to be the main stumbling block, unless you live here the only way of finding out anything is via the net! the 3 main info sites are Jill & Terry's  condadodealhamaservices.com  Phil Tann's  naranjosuno.com  or good old  eyeonspain.com   the time for sitting with your head in the sand have gone,find out who your President is and contact him /her with how you want your resort to go forward, we have a wonderful oportunity here with all that is happening locally, so make your voice heard

I have noticed that is the same person who is up for election on our garden . From what I have read there does not appear to be anyone else interested unless of course they are waiting until the actual date . As we have never recieved any comunication from our garden president or his second in charge,. they will NOT get our vote this year. I know that the presidents do not have to reside on Condado & so the lack of a visit  from either person whilst we are there is irrelevant.

If anyone  knows of another interested party I would appreciate a PM

From what I gather some of the presidents do not ask the residents of thier particular garden what there opinions are.  I get the impression that  they dont  canvass the opinions of the residents and vote for  what they want not what the majority want  , thats why we need  as many unbias presidents to help run Condado and make it what we all want a 5 star resort.  My hubby is running for a second term he is of the opinion that it doesn't take up much of his time and he'd rather be in the know.  So come on one and all put up your hands and be counted.

There is now only just over 2 weeks to the AGM,  if you do not believe you current president has been doing a good job, then NOW IS THE TIME TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.   The owners need to decide what they want for the following year, only you can make that decision.  Do nothing and things will remain the same, is that what you want?  Any owner who is willing to put in the time and effort to be a president and ensure that the owners in their garden are kept informed is better having one that will not.

I have my hand up again for block 8 - I am not aware of anyone else wanting to run as president.

Anyone thinking that they fancy the job but aren't living out there full time, you don't have to be ,if you are voting on issues you can do this by proxy to someone who you entrust to vote in the same manner as you would.

You need a couple of evening s a week to read the emails that come through and to respond to them.

IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY IT IS UP TO YOU to change things.

Hope to find you all well, glad to see your hand up as well as Simons and Nicks in block 9  just need somemore willing applicants to stick there hands up and be counted.  Dont think this time we will get out internet connection but maybe next year if we can get enough like minded presidents onboard.  Anyway will be in touch, got a free weekend near the end of June, have a think, i'll put the tent in the back garden for you all.  Dave can have the shed.

Thanks for your vote but Simon is not standing for Jardine 5 . Please give it some thought to standing yourself as Carla said all you have to do is read emails and respond.  We need like minded people to help improve Condado for the best.

Is it not the case that you do have to be prepared to travel over to do some voting and attend some meetings?

Would have thought you'd miss out on 'gelling' with other Presidents and being part of the 'clique' which could affect the flow of information. If it can all be done by email and proxy, think it must have more potential than many people think.
