Morning All

We are coming over, like many others I am sure,  this Friday and will nip into Dos Mares for  a "Big Shop" (Peter Kay) but does anyone know what the hours are at the Polaris supermarket are over the weekend for general bits and pieces ??

Also two other totally random questions  !

WHERE are the hot springs in Camposol - I think its a park and walk job I have never found them and would like to ??

WHERE locally on a sunday is there a good "churros van" - always loads in Los Alcazares but I have never seen any in Mazarron !!

Many Thanks and Happy Easter

Mark

Hi Mark

Take road to Mazarron, turn right at Chapel at El Saladillo ( Restaurant on left). Take the track which goes round the back of the chapel, downhill  towards Rambla de Canal for about 1.5 kms. You can then walk to the spring.

Can you tell me how to get to the Dos Mares supermarket  please.

Thanks

Marianne

With regards to the Hot Springs. We went in September last year, and parked by the chapel as previously suggested. We then walked under the road which was a bit hairy, but not too bad in the opposite direction to the restaurant. It is quite a walk, and if memory serves me you keep to the right hand path, but when you can see in the distance the Camposol Golf course you're not far from it. There is a huge round structure which is where the water comes from, and there are quite a few hot pools there. I'm afraid I did not have the courage to have a dip, as the water is obviously very murky due to the sulphur and quite smelly! It's very primitive there so you undress at your peril! It's interesting though, and worth a visit. Please bear in mind the springs will be very hot this time of year. I just about managed to dip my toe in last time, and it was hot then.

Cheers,

Lynn
