Have just been reviewing our bank account online and I have noticed that CAM has taken 4 sets of 15 euros - 2 of them on 3 December and 2 on 4 December.  I am assuming that this is the annual charge for having our debit cards but they seem to have taken them twice!  The description on the statement is Cuota Tarj.

Anyone know if my assumptions are correct and if yes has it happened to anyone else?

I believe you are correct in your assumption re the debit card charge.  I've been paying this annual fee of E15 for many years; one payment for one card.

This card fee is in addition to the quarterly account maintenance fee, currently E8.75.

 Go to the CAM website, www.cam.es, and there's a number for CAM Direct, they are usually very helpful ;-

You can also contact them on-line in real time.  When you log in to internet banking, at the top right is an on-line query icon.  This will open a new window, and you will be introduced to an operator.  Type your query directly and take it from there.  Log on in English and the operator will introduce him/her self in English.  I've used this service a few times and if they can't sort it out there and then, have always come back to me by e-mail.  My branch is in Torrevieja - I don't know if location will have different results.
