Any suggestions for quite a few drinks?

Hi,

Were  back over in October with no kids and would like to go sightseeing around various bars and tavernas for a day/night session within the local vicinity.

I thought about Totana due to the fact it would be about 40euros return in taxi fares & I have never been there. Has anyone been to Totana & are there quite a few places to sample the local food and drink or could you reccomend anywhere else that I could get plastered without a big taxi bill. Reccomendations welcome where to eat as well, whilst out revisiting my youth (Not campasol planning to go there on another evening for food and wine)

Why not book a night in Le Cumbre in Pto De Mazarron, prices per double from 36€, that way you can drive there, have a Tapas crawl, spend the night & drive back in the morning. And still cheaper than a taxi.

Great suggestion from Kathy and Bob.  I have stayed at the la Cumbre hotel several times and love it.  Ask for a seaview room though as it is really worth it and doesn't cost any more than a regular room.  Not the fanciest hotel in the world but it is very clean, very well run, very well looked after and much loved by the owners.  I have been a hotel manager for nearly 20 years and this hotel definately has that 'something' about it.  Give it a go - I'm sure you will love it.  Arlene
